Walking: Day 54 of 2012
Been 3 weeks since I last walked. Yeesh. :(
Didn't intend to let it go that long, but being only able to go out and walk on weekends and then catching a cold a couple of weeks ago kinda held me up from exercising. Lately it's been a little warmer than normal, so I decided to head on out this afternoon and make a few laps through the neighborhood. The temps were in the low 50s with a breeze, but at least I missed any rain showers. Thought about stopping at 2 laps, but then thought "What the heck. I feel okay." and did one more. Glad I did. :)
I'm using a new fitness site (online and thru an app on my phone) called MyFitnessPal.com. It helps me track my food (even has a handy barcode scanner) and keeps me under a set number of calories each day. I can also put in when I exercise. I really like it so far. I've had 2 days where I went over my allotted calories (ooops!), but that's okay. Can't be perfect all the time and thus far I've lost 2 pounds. I'd begun to climb up a little, so this is definitely a good thing to try and keep the pounds down.
