Freezing inside the house and equally cold outside. What's a girl to do? Why go walk and get warm, of course. *g*

Felt good to get out in the cold, foggy air and work my leg muscles. The weight is staying nicely in place, only occasionally going up a little. I'm not avoiding goodies, in fact, I'm still splurging a bit here and there, but it's not effecting my weight much, so I'm good with it. Think I read something about when you're cold it's easier to lose weight because the calories go towards keeping you warm instead of making fat. Must be working for me. :P

The weather was so nice and warm this afternoon that I felt I should squeeze in a quick walk. Besides, my weight is the lowest it's been since before VanCon this year! Woot! The walk also helped me warm up for a bit. Niiiiice!

Not sure how much I'll be able to walk now that the cold and wet weather is moving in for the next 6 months, but we'll see.

A couple more evening walks for the books. It's getting to where these after-supper walks are all I have time for anymore. They're nice and leisurely, I don't really push myself to walk fast. The nice thing is that I still burn at least 300 calories and I'm keeping myself limber and ready for VanCon. Only a little over a week left and my time is extremely limited, but I want to squeeze in as many of these walks as I can. :)

Meh. Haven't had a chance to walk in nearly 2 weeks. Luckily, my weight has stayed down and I'm still at the lowest I've been since I started recording my weight (some 12 years ago). :)

Didn't walk 2 miles but I did burn 300 calories which isn't too bad. I would've gone farther, but my lack of sleep the night before really zapped my energy.

I actually walked last Monday & forgot to post about it, so I'm squeezing it in now. :P

This evening I felt like taking a little stroll after supper. Not that I ate an awful lot or anything and needed to "walk it off", but it was a nice, if coolish evening and I've been cooped up inside most of the day. Didn't walk my normal speed, just walked along enjoying the fading daylight and the brisk breeze. It was nice....and the fact that I burned 300 calories was an added bonus. My weight is still low, btw. Win! :)

Bleh. I've fallen so behind on things lately. :(

I actually walked on July 11th & 12th and forgot to post about them. Didn't help that I used up all the data on my phone for the month (oopsie) and couldn't log my walk from the 12th. It's on my phone but hasn't been able to synch with the site yet. Grrrr. A couple more days though and I'll be back online with my phone. Yay! Anyway, I had good walks...all over 2 miles. My weight was staying down, but it's recently climbed back up a bit. A supper out at Dairy Queen will do that. Yep, I splurged and had a burger, fries, and a Blizzard. :P It was sooooo nice to have a hamburger though. Mmmmmm. Girl's gotta have her red meat! Hee!

Got busy and completely forgot to log my walk yesterday so this is covering Saturday and today. ;)

My weight is way down.
Whoah.

I don't even know why. Maybe I'm eating less? *shrugs* But my weight today is down to where it was when I was sick. Never thought I'd get there again. So since the weather hasn't been stinking hot, I've taken advantage of our pleasant sunshine and walked this whole weekend. Thankfully, the temps were better today than they were yesterday. Saturday was kinda hot, with temps in the upper 70s and not enough breeze (but thank goodness it was there at all!). Today was much nicer with temps in the lower 70s and again a nice breeze. :)

Got in a good walk this afternoon. It was sunny & warm, with temps in the upper 70s, but there was a nice breeze that helped keep me cool most of the time. Went nearly 3 miles! Woot! Not bad, considering I haven't walked in a couple of weeks. Just been so darned busy! Gah! Then we had that cool spell, too....*sigh* But there's only 2 months until VanCon and I've gotta shed some more pounds. Plus, like I told my mom today, this walking is also about building up endurance for that walk between hotels up in Vancouver. It's only 5 blocks up there, but it's up hills and down them, plus I'm usually in a hurry and hefting a heavy backpack. So I need to be prepared and used to walking for that.

My weight is coming back down, but it's agonizingly slow. Arg! So I walked this afternoon after a low calorie lunch.

The weather was nice! Temps around 70 and mostly sunny. I got tired at the over half way point, but I pressed on, thinking about how close VanCon is and how much I want to be fit and lighter by then. Hope I can walk tomorrow, too as the temps this weekend are just right for walking (and no rain - yay!).

Woke up late today and my right knee was hurting. Not exactly the greatest incentive to go out and exercise, but the weather was too beautiful to pass up (sunny, low 70s). :)

It actually worked out great. I pushed myself and did nearly 3 miles. Woot! The knee pain went away and even now, hours later feels fine. Guess it was just telling it me it needed the workout. *g*

Our initial plans for today changed so we went to Plan B, which meant I could get a walk in this afternoon. :)

All the rain's up north, so I didn't have that to slow me down, however it was gusting with wind quite a bit. I think the wind zapped my energy a bit. Wasn't able to do my regular, full route. But I did do 2 miles, so that's a win in my book. ;)

At home, not raining (though it was threatening), and not working on any big project. So of course I had to walk. :P

Happy I was able to go over 2 miles this time after I pooped out quickly with my last walk. No problems this time. Temps were in the low 60s and very nice. In fact, I had to take off my jacket for the last loop. I was too hot! My weight's been up a little, so I'm eager to get a few of these pounds off again. Now that I'm all healthy I need to make up for the month I lost while I was sick. Bah. All the walking I could have done then. *sigh* No more getting sick!!!! I've got a convention to get ready for!

Woke up and my back felt considerably better. Must have been all that walking in the grocery stores yesterday with mom. Heh. I'm actually able to stand up without being bent over slightly like a question mark now. Plus, I noticed I could roll over in bed last night without being in pain. Looks like I'm finally on the mend.

Since the weather cooperated today (sunny, breezy, but cool-ish) I really had no excuse to go and walk. Unfortunately, my body wasn't too keen on the idea and I pooped out pretty fast. Darn it. I wish I could've gone over 2 miles, but I just barely made it close to 2. *sigh* Another time.

Ugh. Can't believe it's been over a month since I last walked. Bad! Very bad!
But then getting sick tends to put one off of walking. :P

Yep, I finally felt good enough (thx to some new meds) to go out and tramp around our neighborhood. Didn't go too fast, but half-way through I was definitely feeling the effects of not exercising for so long. Thought I was going to have a muscle cramp up on me, but then it warmed up and felt fine. Phew! Crisis averted! I've been slowly gaining some of the weight back that I lost when I initially got sick, but I'm doing my best to not end up back what I was before. So far, so good. Went over 2 miles, so that's nothing to complain about. Time to get back on the exercise train! :)

Almost to forgot to post my walk today and it's a big deal because...wait for it....I almost walked 4 miles!!!! \0/

I was lucky because even though it was cold (mid-40s WTH? it's April!) and raining all around, I didn't get wet. Took the umbrella along and didn't need it. Woot! I walked all 3 neighborhoods: Cherry Park next door to our neighborhood, the neighborhood across the main road, and then did the big loop in our neighborhood. First time I've ever done that and now I know I can do it! *happy dances* My legs felt GREAT again. I just wanted to go and go. I didn't really get tired until the near the very end. Let's hope this equates to losing more weight!

I wasn't going to walk today. Used all the excuses: it's raining, woke up too late, don't feel like it. Then it stopped raining...well, damn then I had to go and walk. :P

It turned out to be a great walk though. It was raining, but it did stop for a little while and it wasn't overly cold (thank goodness spring is here). The best part is my legs felt great and my energy level was so high that walking was easy. I just wanted to keep going...so I did. Usually I go around the neighborhood 3 times? I went 4 times today. Felt great to walk over 3 miles again. :)

Got up later than I intended today, but I really wanted to squeeze another walk in. I lost 2 and a half pounds in just one day!

I'm sure it's simply some crazy fluke, but it's all the encouragement I needed to get out there and exercise today. Plus, it was sunny and warm! Got up to 60 degrees today! First time this year I went out walking without my jacket. Beautiful! An added bonus today? I found a dime! :D Healthy and profitable. Can't beat that. Went further today (2.63 miles!) and didn't feel that tiredness that I had yesterday.

Kind of disappointed in myself. It's been 3 weeks since I walked last and my weight is back up slightly. Grrrr.

Guess that was motivation enough for me to walk this afternoon. Besides, it was nice weather: sunny but a little coolish with temps in the low 50s. I just keep telling myself that VanCon is only about 5 months away. Yikes. Hope I can get fit and thinner by then! But hey, I took the first step...I walked today. That's a lot more than some people did this Sunday. I wish I could've gone longer but I was getting tired. Three weeks is obviously enough time to get out of shape. Hopefully the weather will continue to dry out and get warmer (as they are hinting at in the forecast) and I can get onto a more frequent walking schedule.

Ooopsie. I forgot to log yesterday's walk, so this is a 2 for 1 post. :P

Two days straight of walking. Oooph. Almost too much for me. I was fine yesterday, but today? Ugh. Not so much. Missed the rain yesterday, got sprinkled on a little today. Temperature was fine though - kind of mild, in the mid to upper 50s. Walked my big and long routes, bringing me to over 2 miles on both days. I HAVE to lose some of this weight.

Weighed myself today and the number scared me, even though I had a big supper late last night. Eeep! Time to really begin buckling down and losing this weight!

Installed the MapMyWalk app on my phone last night and was eager to give it a try. It tracked my route and gave me all the important data on calories, pace, etc. Awesome! No more having to use a stopwatch and inputting the info. into the site later. The weather was cool (mid-40s) and overcast, but at least it wasn't raining! Sure was dark-ish though. Sheesh. Saw my first robin and my first crocuses just starting to pop up, though they weren't open yet. Spring is on it's way! :D
