Hey! It's a new post...and MUSIC! I actually uploaded these to YT a whole month ago but...whatever. :P

NOTE FROM PREVIOUS POST: These are from my paternal grandfather's old Reel-To-Reel tapes that we recorded onto regular audio cassettes years ago. I suspect this music was recorded off of the radio because it's all different instruments/orchestras and artists. I've identified most of the songs, but not all. Anyway, if you like old music, this is right up your alley! :)

This first video is actually a clip from a much longer recording (which I will eventually upload in it's entirety). I believe it was a recording done off of the TV of the Sing Along With Mitch program back in the 1960s. This is just the song, "Bless'Em All" which I heard in the beginning of the movie "Twelve O'Clock High" and it made me think of this recording. Very short, but I hope you like it.



Next we have a continuation of music recorded off the radio (as far as I know). Different artists and mostly instrumentals. Again, this was probably from the early 1960s. Happy listening!

Been working on my new YouTube channel at long last and finally posting some audio files publicly.

These are from my paternal grandfather's old Reel-To-Reel tapes that we recorded onto regular audio cassettes years ago. This is just Side A of the first reel (I have to limit my uploads to 15 min). I suspect this music was recorded off of the radio because it's all different instruments/orchestras and artists. I've identified most of the songs, but not all. Anyway, if you like old music, this is right up your alley! :)

Technically, I'm combining 2 things here: Merry Monday & a birthday post for Jensen. ;)

Instead of a picspam, I thought I'd celebrate Jensen's amazing singing voice. As if being an outstanding actor, a gifted director, and incredible human being weren't enough: yes, Jensen can sing. Honestly, at this point I'd love to know what he isn't good at. I'm sure it's a short list! I've been so fortunate to hear him sing in person 4 times. Here are 3 of my best recordings of his performances.

I would've posted the first time Jensen sang at VanCon back in 2015, but the audio isn't so good in that video. But in 2016 Jensen went more acoustic with the song and it was still a great performance.


VanCon 2018 would be my last con and while I'd been hoping Jensen would sing "Brother", instead we got treated to 2 songs from Jensen, including this brand new song! Many of us exclaimed afterwards that this wasn't Jensen on stage, but Dean Winchester himself!


Jensen sings the Saturday Night Special classic, "Whipping Post". Again, with better audio than my 2017 recording of him sining the song.

This video is only from last October, so I'm not so far behind with this one!

More laughs from Jay's headlines! :D

It's been a crazy, messed-up year and at this point I'm feeling very grateful for what I still have. I can't help but think of how many people have lost family & friends to Covid-19 and how many families will be incomplete today. Most of my family/relatives have been gone for years now, so I miss them a lot at Christmas because the 9 of us always celebrated together. But I'm so glad to still have my mom with me, especially in light of the virus.

I'm also thankful for all of you, my online friends! I'm sorry for not being a very good friend this year. Please keep safe and have a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate). No White Christmas here - just rain - but enjoy some Bing & Frank! :)

Pretty much the only reason I watched Jay Leno back in the day was for his Headlines feature.
