It's 2025!

I've only got a couple more hours until New Year's Day is over here.
I sure hope the new year will be better than the last...though so far, it's not off to a great start. *sigh* It's not like 2023 was a picnic, but 2024? Very rough! I had 2 or 3 really bad months where I felt like I was running a marathon. Just exhausting! I'm still struggling with a lot (mental health-wise and real life-wise), but I hope I find some answers this year.

I'm also still hoping to get back to posting here on LJ more. There's no way I can return to my daily posts, but 2 or 3 times a week would be nice.

Here's wishing a good 2025 for all of us (though knowing how things are leaning, I'm not sure that's possible...). Let's just hope we have the strength to get through it, huh? Hugs to you all!

Getting this post done a little early, just in case I don't have time later.

Wishing all who celebrate, a very Merry Christmas with good friends, family, wonderful food, fun times, and cherished memories.

Happy 2023!

A new year begins and with it a whole load of new beginnings.

I *hope* to do better at posting around here in 2023. I really did a lousy job last year, but I want to do better. Not making any promises that there will be daily posts, but I'm definitely going to try for several times a week.

There's all sorts of RL things I want to change/improve as well. It's going to be rough, because I feel as though I'm hopelessly stuck in a never-ending rut, but...a fresh start is a hopeful start.

May this New Year be good to us all!

I know most of you are already finished with Christmas, but I didn't get a chance to get online until now. Whether you're still celebrating or resting and relaxing in the aftermath - I hope you all have/had a wonderful Christmas! And if you don't observe Christmas, I hope you had a peaceful Sunday. ♥

I can't realistically hope that 2022 will be a huge improvement over 2021, but as long as it's not worse, I'll take it. All the best to you and yours! Stay safe & healthy everyone!

It's been a crazy, messed-up year and at this point I'm feeling very grateful for what I still have. I can't help but think of how many people have lost family & friends to Covid-19 and how many families will be incomplete today. Most of my family/relatives have been gone for years now, so I miss them a lot at Christmas because the 9 of us always celebrated together. But I'm so glad to still have my mom with me, especially in light of the virus.

I'm also thankful for all of you, my online friends! I'm sorry for not being a very good friend this year. Please keep safe and have a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate). No White Christmas here - just rain - but enjoy some Bing & Frank! :)

I realize this video is a year old now, but I made the caps last December and then never got back to them! So here they are at last. Merry Christmas!!!

Hi-Res Caps this way... )

We actually have this same record as a 45. This recording has a special memory for me because when I was in grade school, a few of the 6th graders would spend a day before Christmas, going from classroom to classroom, performing this record as a skit. It was always enjoyable. Wouldn't you know...when I finally got to 6th grade they'd stopped doing it. Ah, well....it was fun for the years we had it.

And remember: "Most folks call them green onions, but they're really scallions."

When I was growing up, Christmas music always meant the Ray Conniff singers, because we had 2 of their 3 Xmas albums on vinyl records (still do!). We'd play their songs over and over again. Nobody else had that same sound, beat, or beautiful harmonies. Enjoy! :D

I simply HAD to post this! :D
The SPN cast & crew sing this song to director Richard Speight Jr. in the Bunker set, silly Xmas sweaters & all! Love Jensen shouting out directions at the beginning. Too funny! Btw, I have capped this! Watch for the caps to be posted this week. ;)

Note: This video might be considered slightly spoilery for characters, if you can figure out which episode they were filming.

Whether you celebrate this holiday or not, I want to thank you all for your friendship and support this past year. Don't know where I would be without my LJ Friends! sHa_grouphug3

It's Turkey Day here in the U.S. A time for gathering, reflecting, and eating. Heh.
I just want to say that I'm so very thankful for all the gifts Supernatural has given me, including the SPNFamily. I know things have been rocky lately, but I hope we can finish off the year with more healing, positivity, and love. To my LJ Flist...I'm so happy for those of you who are still around and active in our ever-shrinking little corner of fandom. Thank you for being my friends! *HUGS*

I don't "do" Halloween, but one of our local TV news stations posted this on Facebook and I thought it was fun and cute. I'm a pregnant pumpkin, btw. :P
