Reminder: Tubi has all 5 Seasons of Alias available to watch, for FREE! Sadly, I think they're airing the eps with a lot of the songs replaced (Boo!), but it's still a great way to watch the series.

Btw, I LOVE Sydney's home/apartment!
It's so darned cozy & Californian.

Gotta love that Syd is still going to college and pursuing a degree while working as a double agent. How does she keep up with all the homework anyway?

Wouldn't Syd know that meeting her dad out in the open like that was risky?
No wonder Jack chewed her out!

We first learn of Rambaldi!

How "experienced" does an agent need to be in order to be handler that just relays instructions? This bit about demoting Vaughn is a little stupid. Glad Syd doesn't stand for it.

This episode has my favorite music score piece!
The Spanish-flavored track is awesome! ♡

Marshall's so excited about his gadgets in this ep!
It's very cute!

This Lambert that takes over is such an A-hole, too!
And if SD-6 is tracking her why on earth did Syd meet her dad? I mean they probably wouldn't think much of it because Jack is SD-6, but as he told Syd, she was too exposed.

Hard to believe this is the first time Syd & Will have kissed...

Yep, let's have that awkward kiss moment be even more awkward by bringing up her dead fiance's belongings!
Great timing, Will!

What bugs me about this 1st scene is Sydney's arrogance! Like the CIA has been waiting for her to join them. So they could take down SD-6 in record time as she put it. Did she forget her dad has already been doing this job? But she's giving Vaughn all this intel like she's their sole answer. Love how he shuts her up by showing her the map of how big SD-6 truly is.

Continuity error: In 1x01 when Syd enters SD-6, the door from the white room opens on the left, here it opens on the right. Ooops!

We learn Syd & Will have known each other for 3 yrs.

I love Weiss!
"Impressive?" (Said to Vaughn after he convinced the boss to help Syd). "Balls of Steel."
Vaughn scoffs.
Weiss: "No, that's what I'm going to call you from now on. (To a passing guy). Hey, have you met balls of steel?"

TV shows will teach you: always cut the blue wire on a bomb.

Ah, yes...from now on nothing but cliffhanger endings!

I hadn't planned on posting my notes for Alias so soon, but I just found out that Tubi has all 5 Seasons available to watch, for FREE! Sadly, I think they're airing the eps with a lot of the songs replaced (Boo!), but it's still a great way to watch the series.

I wanna say "Poor Danny", but really he lucked out..Can you imagine him having to deal w/ Jack Bristow as a father-in-law? Yikes!

I think this is the first and last time Sloane finds Marshall amusing. :P

If only Danny hadn't left that phone message for Sydney. I wonder if she listened to it?

BTW, the songs are everything in this Pilot, in every ep, really.
So much LOVE!

Heh - Why steal a van when you can have a Jaguar?

I forgot how much red is used in this episode: the red dress, red hair, red outfit & even Syd's phone is red.

Kinda amazing & badass that Syd went after the device totally on her own with no assistance or backup. Of course, she did get caught, but she also escaped.

Tom trying to get Harry to go out with the Delaney Sisters, but he's having none of it. Love it when Tom tells him, "You need to run a self-diagnostic!".

This is our first sort of Tom-centric episode. Yay!

Doc: "Seems I've found myself on a voyage of the damned."

Darned Kid, LOL.

Gotta admit that I'm with Tom on this one. If this civilization is going to be destroyed, why wouldn't you warn them?

Talk about no individuality. Everybody (besides the police) wear the same clothing & colors.

Harry & B'ellana are quite the team in this episode!

Ha! That is such a TV cabinet the guy opened up!

Great, long, walk & talk shot with Paris & Janeway. That's a lot of dialog to say in one shot!

Tom gets shot in the gut. Ouch! Love Janeway's concern for him!

Janeway smartly figures out their own rescue attempt is what causes the explosion.

Oh, Tuvok - quit being so darned logical!

Not much to say about this episode for some reason.

Paris: "Energy efficiency is down another 14%. If we don't get more power to the warp drive. We're all gonna have to get out and push!"

What is Janeway's issue with Torres? She did go to Starfleet Academy.

B'ellana: "I'm not bothered by what people think of me."

Chakotay: "I have no intention of being your token maquis officer!!!"

Such a weird table in the Briefing Room! Does that central dark area do anything?

Paris: "It's The Voyager! It's us!!"

Janeway & Torres: "Warp particles !!!"

Janeway: "Sometimes you just have to punch your way through."

Testing....1,2,3...

So this is my first post for my new series of entries: TV Notes.
It's basically a really quick and easy way of reviewing TV shows. I take notes in a notebook on each episode of the series and then post them here. I was going to start with Season 15 of SPN, but then I thought that might be weird without having done the other 14 seasons. *sigh* So here's Star Trek: Voyager!

Tom "I'm a Pilot, Not an Observer" Paris. <-- Tom is my favorite Voyager character, btw. :)

That's one clunky laptop Janeway has in her quarters.

Voyager has a much bigger bridge than Enterprise on ST:TNG.

Why did Harry leave his clarinet behind at home?

Everybody hates Paris, except for the Capt. & Harry.

Why does Harry only say "Three" in his countdown before the wave hits? He had time to say at least two.

The Holographic Doctor being pissed that the crew failed to turn him off when they were kidnapped from the ship by the Caretaker array is priceless!

Janeway goes from messed-up hair to perfect bun again in 2 seconds! Why don't I have that superpower?

I like the irises in Janeway's ready room (quarters?).

No explanation given how Janeway & Co. got back onto the array w/the farm setting. Did they just beam over?

Janeway: "Mister Kim, at ease before you sprain something."

Paris to Chakotay: "If I save your butt, your life belongs to me. Isn't that some kind of Indian custom?"
Chakotay: "Wrong tribe!"

Why did the Kazon break off their attack on Voyager once Janeway destroyed the array? It was "You're made an enemy today!" and boop! they were gone! Attack over!

So did the Doc heal B'ellana & Harry of the disease? They appear to be magically healed once on board Voyager with no explanation given.

Janeway: "It's a fine crew, and I've gotta get them home!"

Finally got to watch the Pilot of Jared's new series.

My thoughts.... )
raloria: (Default)
Finally getting caught up on my SPN episode reviews before the show returns with new episodes this Thursday.

What's round and bad-tempered? A vicious circle. )

raloria: (Default)
Remember when I said I'd get this review done early? Ha!
For the 3 of you who read my reviews, I'm sorry for the wait.

Watch out for those ghost peppers! )

raloria: (Default)
I've only watched the episode once with a spotty 2nd viewing, so this will probably be short.

Everybody loves bacon! )

raloria: (Default)
Watched this episode a 2nd time because I felt I wasn't giving it a fair viewing the first time since it was super late & I was tired.

You'll never leave Harlan alive... )

Alright, now that I'm officially caught up with my reviews...

I'm actually going to try and do the reviews for Season 15 differently. The goal, to keep them fairly short. Yes, I realize I've tried this in the past and failed, but I'm really going to try this time. For one thing, I'm going to cut down on the quotes. I mean, I just look them up on SuperWiki anyway. I'll include a few, or ones that SuperWiki won't list, but I'll try to keep the quotes to a minimum.

The Famous Final Scene... )

raloria: (Default)
Yeah, believe it or not, I found out I never did review the last 3 eps of Season 14. Ooops! Sorry, but the completionist in me just couldn't let them go.

So here's a quickie review of them... )

raloria: (Default)
Finally all caught up! Woot!!!! \0/

Build a better mouse trap... )

raloria: (Default)
Finally getting caught up! I hate being this far behind. Ugh.
