Supernatural Spoiler Squeefest! - 4x18
It's time to talk, squee, flail, and speculate about the upcoming new episodes.
The Rules: The idea for this series of posts is to discuss, debate, and yes, squee, about spoilers for SPN's next new episode. Anything is open here: script sides, spoilers, and rumors. All I ask is that everyone be considerate and well-behaved.
Warning: If you are avoiding spoilers of any kind, stay away from this post!

Let's talk spoilers!!! *squeeeeeeeeeeee*
What We Know:
Episode 4.18 - “The Monster At The End Of This Book”
written by Julie Siege and directed by Mike Rohl
Official Description from The CW:
Sam and Dean are shocked to discover a series of comic books titled "Supernatural" that accurately detail their lives as demon hunters. They track down the writer, Carver Edlund (guest star Rob Benedict), who explains he has visions of the brothers that he then turns into comic books.
Chuck reveals that Lilith (guest star Katherine Boecher) is coming and she has a plan for Sam.
Further info from Supernatural Hunters Addict:
- Sam and Dean discover a fictional book series entitled Supernatural about two demon hunting brothers named Sam and Dean Winchester while investigating a possible haunting at a comic book shop–the shop clerk (Dan Dabb) thinks the boys are live action role playing when they visit.
- Sam and Dean post as writers and visit the comic publisher, Sera Siege, and she makes the boys uncomfortable discussing personal information from their lives that appeared in the comics. They are looking for the writer, Carver Edlund (real name=Chuck), and Sera tells them where to find him.
- The boys find Chuck, who is freaked out when it turns out his stories are true. He goes to show them what he’s currently working on.
- Later, Dean is run down by a mini-van and the Impala’s back window is smashed in. He returns to Chuck and wants to know how he gets his information.
- The boys are trapped in town because the bridge is out. They hide out in a diner.
- Lilith and Sam face off, just like in Chuck’s vision. They can’t hurt one another using powers, so they make an agreement: Lilith will stand down in exchange for Sam and Dean’s lives. Sam agrees.
Casting & other another spoiler from SpoilerFix:
- Chuck Shurley: (30's-40's) This lovable loser is down on his luck, drunk, hack former porn writer, ekes out a meager living as a comic book writer. On the surface, he seems like a cowardly, geek, with a skewed sense of reality as he searches for answers - but in the end he proves his real mettle. Possibly recurring.
Lilith: (20s - 40) Beautiful, hot, sexy and seductive, a badass demon in a dental hygienist's body. The ultimate dealmaker and manipulator, she is out for herself. She will do, or kill anyone in order to accomplish her devious mission. Source: SpoilerTV
- Lilith hijacks the body of a dental hygienist and returns to wreak havoc on the Winchesters in ep 18. Source: Kristin on E!Online
My Thoughts:
:: This is another episode with fun little inside jokes centering around the SPN production, especially revolving around the character names.
:: The episode seems to be fairly light on paper, but has a twist at the end when Lilith shows up. I anticipate an interesting showdown with Sam.
:: Jensen filmed the scene where he gets hit by the minivan on the day that Jared was down in LA for the premiere of "Friday The 13th". I have info. about the shooting locations for this scene and another one from a fan who was there that day and I'll be making a separate Filming Locations post about them in the next day or so. :)
:: Cool to have Castiel back. I hope we find out what the angel situation is. Since Uriel has been taken out, was he the one providing the strange and questionable orders? Is that problem over, or is there still a communications problem from higher up?
:: I look forward to seeing what Dean's state of mind is after the last 2 episodes. Is he full-on back in hero Dean mode, is there still that fear and doubt clouding things.
:: I'm still dying to find out if Sam has learned that Dean broke the first seal. Or has Dean kept that secret from him? And does Dean know that Sam took out Alastair? Hmmmm...
:: Major squee over seeing the pic of the boys doing laundry!!!! This has been on my Wish List for several seasons now. Thank you show!!!! Can't wait to see this scene Thursday night! :)
