The 30 Days of December Meme
I'm way behind. Yikes!
Day 15: A fanfic
Like this is an easy one! Why must you make me choose???? Okay, here's an oldie, but a goodie: He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother by EFW. Brotherly Angst? Check. Hurt/Comfort? Check. Sam taking care of Dean? Check. Ellen & Ash? Check. Dean being in pain? Check, check. Heh. I love my angsty boys! :D
Day 16: A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Like with TV & Movies, music doesn't usually make me cry. It took me a while to come up with a song that can actually make me cry. And it doesn't make me cry in a sense that it makes me sad...it's because of the subject matter & my closeness to it.
Don't laugh....it's the song "A Ticket To Dream" by Trisha Yearwood that was used years ago for AFI's 100 Years 100 Movies TV special. Almost every time I watch this video or listen to the song it chokes me up with emotion. I love movies and I love that I work in movies, albeit in a small, independent way. This song reminds me of the grandeur of film, the legacy, the art & craft of it all. It's what fuels my passion for my chosen career.
Day 17: An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
I tried to find something online, but the truth is I can't think of anything specific right now. I love all kinds of art, have a deep appreciation for it, but nothing is coming to mind at the moment. Sorry.
Day 18: Whatever tickles your fancy
I posted 3 of my more recent fanfic stories to FanFiction.net a couple of days ago and I got a wonderful comment to my fic, Not Like This.
From angbethea:
good stuff. love that you went back and picked up a story from a different season. I like the older episodes better than this season for some reason and I am glad you made use of one of them. I will admit to having not read any of your work up till now, but after reading this, intend to go back and read your other works as well. You wrote this really, really well from both perspectives. You are a talented writer and I am looking forward to more from you. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I don't really think of myself as much of a writer, but this comment really touched me. It makes me want to keep going even though I detest the act of writing. :)
Day 19: A talent of yours
I guess my main talent would be in noticing small details. It really helps in my chosen career of Script Supervisor for film. ;) I may not remember things all that well, but everywhere I go I see everything. Hardly anything escapes my eyes, no matter how small or insignificant. ;)
There, now I'm back on track.
