The posting of the 13x03 Highlight Caps will be a bit delayed.

Due to my internet being super slow, I haven't been able to finish uploading all the caps. Takes me 20 minutes just to upload 30 caps at a time. I hope to be able to post them later on today (Thursday), but it probably won't be until the evening. Thanks for understanding.

In the on-going Photobucket saga...

Spent most of Friday late afternoon and evening, into Saturday morning figuring out which images were missing from not only my LJ but spn_ontheset & positively_spn. At least I'm still able to download my images from PB - I've heard of others who have been completely blocked out of their own accounts! So I downloaded images, re-uploaded them to Slickpic, and changed the links on my journal. So all the sidebar images are on Slickpic and hopefully there to stay! Oh, I did leave out a few things from the sidebar that aren't needed anymore and changed the Gallery pics, etc. Even went so far as to change my journal's background, since it's been ages since I had anything different there.

Then it was onto the comms...with the same process. Even had to go and re-upload & code the tiny little SPN icons I use at positively_spn (and on my journal) next to people's usernames.

So now spn_ontheset went from this:

It only took hours and hours of work, using up precious internet data, and taking me away from other things I should be doing. Thanks so much Photobucket!

Sadly, that's all I can really do.
All the posts in the past that had caps, fanart, and photos stored on Photobucket? Essentially every post since I started on LJ? Totally worthless.
It would be an impossible task to re-upload all of those images and change the links in every single LJ post. It hurts my soul and my heart that all that work is basically gone and unviewable. It's something that I never imagined would happen and yet, here it is. :(

Well I finally took the plunge and deleted most of my LJ userpics. Woot! :D

Spent the past several hours adding in new ones (lots of yours, milly_gal *g*), but I'm nowhere near done. Only have 80 userpics out of the 152 I can now have. Phew! That's a lot! Still need to replace my Holiday/Seasonal ones, as they're still for winter. D'oh! :P

I'm also thinking about adding back in some of my older icons 'cause...well, I love them, they're old favorites, and I can't seem to do without them.

I've had to take a break, but it's nice to have new pretty to select from. :D

However, I've noticed my icon collection (my own and those by others in fandom that I've saved) is lacking a couple of things: Sam & Dean wearing plaid and/or suits.

I've got a couple/few icons of the boys in suits, but they're all early season stuff. And them wearing plaid? Nope...nowhere to be found. It's sad, really.

So I thought I'd put out a request for icons of Sam & Dean (singly and together) wearing suits and those lovely plaid shirts. I'll take new ones if anyone can make them for me or if you'd got some already posted that you'd like to point me to I'd sure appreciate it! :D

Okay, I've gotten several requests to re-upload zipped folders of my SPN Gag Reel caps, especially for Season 5 for some reason. I appreciate the renewed interest in old caps, but sadly at the moment my internet is nearly dial-up slow. This means that uploading any major files is pretty much impossible.

However, I'll be back up to full, fast speed internet on the 11th.
So if you all will be just a little patient with me, I'll (hopefully) be able to provide the requested caps.

I say hopefully because I have to find the Gag Reel caps on an external hard drive. I probably have them...can't imagine that I wouldn't but I've been known to lose files. Keep your fingers crossed.

Of course, I'm also thinking I could probably make better caps now from a youtube video of the gag reels?
I'll have to do some searching and see if anyone's got them uploaded at a high resolution. That might be another option.

Anyway, I thank you for the requests, but ask for your patience over the next several days. :)

♦ My VanCon Photos from 2012 to 2016. -- Yep, I'm that far behind in posting my con photos. :( But I'm much better equipped to start editing them now than I was before, so everything is GO. I just need to work it into my schedule.

♦ SPN Season 12 Titles/Filming Dates/Locations Sticky Post -- Gah! Sooooo behind in getting this post posted. I keep procrastinating about it. *sigh* But every day I also keep telling myself, "You need to get back to saving filming tweets to Storify!" Yep, hasn't happened yet, but it really needs to. February!!! Which leads us to...

♦ Comm SPN_Locations -- With only 6 1/2 months until VanCon, I've gotta get my butt in gear on not only updating the Locations List with new locations from Season 12, but FINALLY DOING MY BIG OVERHAUL OF THE LIST! So I've got a plan in place for some of the tasks I want to do and I'm going to start doing them next month. Yeah, February! Let's do this!!!

♦ Comm SPNConCatalog -- Guys...I FEEL SO BAD ABOUT NOT FOLLOWING UP ON THIS COMM/IDEA!
It wasn't intentional at all. I went into this project (1, 2 yrs ago?) with the best of intentions and full of excitement, but as with so many ideas, when RL got stressful and crazy, something had to be abandoned and sadly, this comm was the victim every time. *sigh* I'm not happy about it. I've been thinking of the comm so much over the past couple of months and trying to figure out the next step to take. I'm sure the people who signed up to volunteer have totally given up on me, so I feel I need to almost start over from scratch. One of the big stumbling blocks has been trying to make the decision if we'll actually transcribe con panel videos. Sounds like a tall order because I know I sometimes have a terrible time making out every word being spoken in a video and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I'm unsure if that's actually do-able. It wasn't originally my intention for the comm, but I know it could be useful, so it's a viable option.


That's pretty much it except for doing Cap Lottery, Requests, and Theme Weeks for Just 'Cause posts, keeping up with SPN episode caps, making more Fanarts, and various other projects. Lots and lots of stuff!

When am I gonna learn?

128 GB Flash Drives officially SUCK!

Years ago I had one by Kingston that got all corrupted and I had to format it. Lost all the files. It's still kinda touchy.

Bought a new one recently...PNY this time. I've had lots of flash drives by this company, so I thought it was safe. No such luck. My Mac won't recognize it anymore. Tried Disk Utility and it can't repair it. Gah!

Wouldn't you know...I put the VanCon 2014 photos on there that I had cropped and was going to post as Fanart. So I'll most likely have to re-do those all over again. And I can't even remember what else was on the flash drive - important stuff, I'm sure. Grrrrr.

I'm trying to search for some kind of free software that will recover the files...if possible.

Luckily, the VanCon photos themselves are backed up on an external HD, along with still being on the camera's memory card itself.

So no Daily Fanart VanCon piece today.
Shoot. :(

In an attempt to do a better job at this whole LJ thing, I'm going to go back to Jan. 1st and start replying to comments. Hopefully I'll get through a good bunch, if not all this evening. It's the first time I've felt up to tackling them all.

Sorry folks. Posting a new cap for today's challenge slipped my mind last night and I didn't think of it until I'd gotten into bed. Was just about to take care of it now, but Photobucket is down for maintenance. Grrrrrrr.

Less than a month until VanCon and there's a lot going on. Here's where various projects & such stand right now.

:: spn_ontheset → Temporarily on hiatus until August 1st so I can have a little breather and hopefully download some more BTS pics to post.

:: SPN Revealed Season 2 → On hold until after VanCon.

:: SPN Season 7 Caps → There's only 2 episodes left to post, but again...after VanCon.

:: SPN Season 8 Caps → Plan on continuing with the standard (1280x720) sized caps, picking up from where I left off at 8x07. Also want to at least highlight cap the episodes in the larger size. Again, after VanCon.

:: SPN Beginnings & Endings → Hoping to keep this up on a twice a week basis up to VanCon.

:: New Icons → I want to make a few more from some Comic Con pics and then I'll be posting them. ;)

:: Hi-Res caps of J2 Nerd HQ Panel at Comic Con → I'm afraid this is going to be one of those things pushed back to post-VanCon. If I had more time, I'd work on them, but the Locations List has to come first right now. Plus, everyone seemed pretty happy with the caps I already posted from the livestream, so...I think these others can wait.

:: Extra VanCon 2012 & Location Hunt Photos → Need to get these posted over the next week or so.

:: Name That Cap Challenge 4 → Still going strong. It will be on hiatus for VanCon though.

:: spn_locations & the Locations List → Being worked on nearly every evening at least. Sadly, I began the update far too late and my time is further being cut down by RL issues. I'm making shortcuts (no Google Street Views for S8 - sorry) and the list won't be what I want it to be....but it will be useable, I promise. Made a cool discovery tonight that will come in handy for those of you who use Google Maps for your location hunting. ;)

And of course there's lots of other stuff: fixing more caps for the Just 'Cause posts, making more fanarts, choosing what I need to print for autographs at VanCon, and I'm sure I'm forgetting things.

I got defriended by 2 people yesterday! Woot!!!! \0/
Yeah, okay, so that's not anything to celebrate, but you know what? They're going to miss some awesome things I've got planned.

♦ SPN Symbols, Spells, & Sigils caps. Not exactly sure how I'll be posting them, but I'm thinking a series of weeks in the Daily Fanart posts.
