raloriaSorry this is being posted so late! But I still wanted to get my initial thoughts of the episode out before I do my big review.
These are just my first impressions of the season's sixth episode. My full-length review with caps will be posted later. This just gives me a chance to express my initial thoughts about the episode and touch on a few highlights.
With each of these First Impressions posts I'll include 2 cropped caps from the episode. One of Dean and one of Sam. I decided to do something different and make them b&w.

* Isn't that gal cold? It's not like she's in Florida. This is supposed to be New England, right? By the water like that, at night? It would be friggin' cold out there!
* The water running down from the fingers of that hand pressed against the shower door was kinda cool.
* I'm glad Dean found out about Sam killing the Crossroads Demon. They've got enough secrets between them.
* Uh, oh...the old lady's got the hots for Sammy. His expressions are too cute! His last glance to Dean is like "Please, help!" Ha!
* OMG! Dean's reaction to the Impala being stolen is hilarious! I break out laughing every time I watch as he practically passes out! LOL! Jensen is great here.
* Not a good move towing the Impala, Bela. There's 2 rules to Dean...you never mess with Sammy and you never touch his beloved car.
* There's some continuity problems with their conversation with Bela, but I'll go into more detail in my big review post.
* "Can I shoot her?" "Not in public." Heehee!
* If that guy watched this show, he'd know you never, never get near a tub full of weird looking water like that. LOL Cool effect on his eyes though.
* Cool camera angle from the trunk's perspective as the boys load up their guns!
* First Bela tows the Impala and then this guy, Peter, insults it! Dean's not too happy.
* Note: this next part is gonna be kinda long....pardon me while I gush... Okay, I'm just gonna jump ahead now to the next best part...Dean in the tux!!!! *GUH* I'd been waiting weeks to see this and it didn't disappoint. Nice little twist, with Bela waiting for him. Loved the little James Bond music as he comes down the stairs! *g* My God, but he's beautiful! No wonder Bela had to catch her breath. I think we all did.
Bela: You know, when this is over, we should really have angry sex.
(Why hasn't anyone written an angry sex fic of these two yet? C'mon people!)
Dean: Don't objectify me.
(He's so adorable when he looks uncomfortable!)
Love his smirk as he leaves the room though. He's like, "Oh, yeah...I know I'm hot!" LOL!
* The bit with the gum was cute! Bela must have been thinking, "I'm here with a complete heathen!". Heh.
* Poor Sammy! Gert was just all over him. Dean was thoroughly enjoying how uncomfortable his little brother was, too. *giggles*
* I like how even though Bela surprises Dean with her plan to get upstairs, he still manages to think fast and go with it.
* Wow! His eyes are so green when he's going after that hand! Gorgeous! I'm firmly convinced the camera loves Jensen's eyes.
* I don't know why, but Bela's line about meeting the boys at the cemetary just comes out of left field to me. Are they going to meet there supposedly to burn the hand? There's no explanation given, so it kind of bugs me.
* Heehee! She did it again! I'd love to know how she switched the hand for the bottle. Although I kind of like this little fanfic's idea of what could have happened.
* So Bela spilled some family blood in her past. While it's not revealed here who it was, I hope we learn about it in the future.
* The summoning ritual scene is pretty cool. Poor Dean goes flying again! Oh, and the water effect as the one brother rushes into the other one was very cool! And on a purely fangirly note...Dean always looks hot when he's wet. I know..."down girl, down". Heehee.
* Wow....10 grand. Dean's gonna have a field day with that. That just might make up for the loss of those scratch tickets.
* Did anyone else catch when Dean smells the money? Shades of Alec in DA, anyone? *grins* You gotta watch carefully, because his back is towards the camera, but you can see it. Wonder if that was Jensen's idea. ;)
* Another rough scene between the brothers at the end. Dean either just doesn't get it, or he thinks he's protecting Sam by not taking his death sentence seriously. Wow. Great scene though. I can't wait to see how they continue on with this. Is it going to end up driving the brothers apart? It's a possibility. I just hope we get to see it with the *gulp* writer's strike going on.
