SPN Revealed - 1.05 Bloody Mary

Think you know every SPN episode inside and out? So did I, but a new HDTV with a great picture and sound changed all that. I started to see things that I'd never noticed before. After a while I decided to make a list of all the things big and small that I came across, episode by episode.
I'd like to think of this as an in-depth look into Supernatural. It's a collection of interesting observations, continuity errors, goofs, filmmaking techniques, statistics, important (or not so important) information, trivia, and anything else that struck me as unusual.
In which episode did Dean first kick in a door?
How many episodes has Sam been the coffee boy?
In which episodes can you see a crew member or the camera?
When do Jared & Jensen do their own stunts and when do we see their stunt doubles?
You'll learn the answers to these questions and many more.
I'll be examining each episode in order, one at a time. Some of the info. will probably be well known to most of you, but I hope to point out some new discoveries as well.
All the caps in these posts are my own. While most of these will not be suitable for other uses, due to my cropping and highlighting, you're free to take any that you like. All I ask is that you give me credit for them. Thanks! :D
SFX Blooper: When Shoemaker is in front of the bathroom mirror and veins appear on his face they move around a bit, indicating this is CGI work that slipped a little. Oops.

Trivia: This episode is set in Toledo, OH - Kripke's hometown.
Gee, haven't we been here before?: When Sam & Dean come down the stairs from the Morgue, they're at Riverview. Similar stairs are seen in Asylum and IMTOD.

Continuity Error: When Charlie confronts the boys outside of the bathroom she puts her right hand up on the wall, takes it down to cross her arms, and then her hand magically appears on the wall again for 5 shots after that. Then on the CU shot of Sam writing down his phone number you can see her hands down in front of her.

As Jill approaches the bathroom mirror a bug flies past her.

There's a weird screen effect used a few times in this episode. The first time is behind Sam when they talk to Charlie after Jill's death.

The screen effect is seen again behind Charlie when she tells them Jill killed Gary Bryman.

Continuity Error: There's a strange lighting change on Sam's shots during the conversation in the car about summoning Mary. For most of the scene Sam/Jared is lit like this, with a lot of light on his face....

it then changes in the middle of the scene to this, much darker and slightly soft focus shot...
It then switches back again for the remainder of the scene.

It's not breaking & entering, it's just entering: Sam picks the lock on the antique store.

Ooops!: There's a bad insert shot of the photo of the original mirror when Dean first shows it to Sam inside the store. In the reflected mirror shot, he digs out a small folded piece of paper and in the insert shot it's a larger photo with other papers on either side of it on a table.

Location, location: A possible street sign that says McKenzie can be seen outside the antique store when Dean meets up with the security guards.
Edit (Aug. 28, 2008): Thanks to info. from
darklydean, I have confirmation on the location of this street sign. It's probably the corner of McKenzie & Front St. in New Westminster, B.C. Maps & satellite image below.

New maps & image of the location.

The weird screen effect is visible again behind Dean when they say goodbye to Charlie in the car.

I can see you: If you look in the small triangle window of the Impala after Charlie turns and walks away, you can see some of the crane apparatus and possibly part of the camera reflected on the glass.

I can see you II: You can also briefly see part of the camera reflected off the side of the car as Dean drives away.

Jessica's spirit is seen by Sam outside of George's Taverna in Steveston.

Here's a map of Steveson, B.C., which is in Richmond. I've marked it's location and where the studio is in Burnaby.

Here's another map showing the exact location of George's Taverna in Steveston.

Beware! This post is very image heavy.
