raloriaI apologize for posting this so late, but with all the stuff happening with Jensen in Australia the past week, this kind of got lost in the background.
These are just my first impressions of this episode. My full-length review with caps will be posted later. This just gives me a chance to express my initial thoughts about the episode and touch on a few highlights.
With each of these First Impressions posts I'll include 2 cropped caps from the episode. One of Dean and one of Sam. I decided to do something different and make them b&w.

These are mostly my notes as they were during the initial airing of the episode. It's mostly incoherent noises, but I tried to fill things out a little. Keep in mind that this episode left me completely speechless by the end. Oh, and the (===========) signify a commercial break.

Wow....nice use of close ups.....kudos to the excellent editing here too....you never lose track of who is who, yet it keeps moving at the right pace

I loved this episode. I consider it their best episode ever. Simply outstanding work in every area. It met all my expectations and then some. Jensen totally blew the dream Dean vs. Dean scene out of the water! I've watched that scene at least a dozen times and it's still just as powerful as ever. He truly deserves an award for that performance because it was off the charts! I also loved the use of color, the camera work, the editing. It all just worked so well.
