Pardon my depressing ramble
Aug. 6th, 2007 05:27 pm*** Where did the weekend go? It's Monday and suddenly I'm way behind with everything. *Sigh*
*** Capped the last 2 episodes of DA last night. *sniff* It's like the end of an era...or something. I had a feeling there wouldn't be many caps of Alec in the finale, Freak Nation, and I was right - only about 280. He's kind of lost in the shuffle in that ep.
*** There's only 4 days left of summer quarter and my online class is fast coming to an end. Can't say it's been especially enjoyable. I've had better experiences in online classes - more interaction with other students and the instructor. I feel like the old veteran in the class. Our question from last week was about Star Wars and reading everyone's responses, I realized none of them were even alive when the first film was released in May 1977. Makes me feel old. I first saw "A New Hope" back in 1978 when I was 6 years old. So I gave my answer, relaying my experiences of living through the Star Wars hype in the 70s & 80s, collecting the toys, etc., and how the original trilogy sparked my interest in filmmaking.
*** The end of the quarter this week also means no access to high speed internet for over a month, when the Fall Quarter begins in late Sept. :( That sucks out loud. So no downloading videos or music files (unless they're small - and how often does that happen?). I'll have to upload my final DA caps on Wed. at the college so I don't have to spend days doing it from home. Now that Comic Con's over, maybe there won't be much left to download for a while. *hopes*
This post is depressing me. There's nothing good here. Too much to do, not enough time and the summer overall has been sucky. I didn't get any gardening done because of the awful weather we had in the spring and early summer and now it's too late in the season to do anything. The yard's a mess, too. I miss having flowers. Gawd...this is just a rambling mess of a post. I'm sorry. Please send hugs and Jensen too, if you can. *Sigh* I suddenly need some major cheering up.
