Happy Birthday Jensen!!!!!! (Post # 1)
Feb. 29th, 2008 10:00 pmIt's officially midnight right now in Texas, which means it's March 1st there. I've got a bunch of posts planned to celebrate Jensen's 30th birthday. They'll be posted throughout the day so that I don't overwhelm everyone's Friends Page. So far, my tally is up to 5 posts, but that might change as I go along. I just wanted to let everyone know of what's to come. :D
So we'll start simple with this first post....the birthday boy himself...30 years old today!

So we'll start simple with this first post....the birthday boy himself...30 years old today!

The first time I saw Jensen Ackles was when he appeared as Ben on the season one episode "Pollo Loco" of Dark Angel. I can still recall being instantly impressed by him. The emotional depths he brought out of the mentally unstable X5 transgenic were fascinating to watch. He brought about a dangerous vulnerability to the character, so while he was deadly and frightening, you also felt sorry for him.
Jensen then returned to DA in the second season as a regular character, Alec. As the more cocky, fun-loving, bad boy with a heart of gold, he made even more hearts swoon. I'll admit to not being all that interested in his character back when the series originally aired. I was too caught up in the whole Max/Logan relationship to really notice. Now, however, his performance as Alec shines. As his character began to develop over the season, he grew to become a trusted friend and ally to Max, even when she didn't want to accept it. While he often seemed to be out for only himself, by the time the series ended, he had proven that he was not the selfish jerk that everyone perceived him to be.
In further appreciation & in celebration of this, Jensen's 30th birthday...I bring you a special DA picspam.
This will feature a cap from each of the episodes Jensen appeared in.
( 19 full-sized caps - not dial up friendly )
