I'm a kind-hearted person and I've kept this LJ open to all. I like to think of it as a friendly place where everyone is welcome. I never had many issues with anonymous comments and in fact, wanted to keep that option available for my best friend to be able to comment if needed. Now that she has a LJ of her own, I really don't need to allow anonymous commenters, but again....I've kept them on because I wanted this LJ to be available.

Spammers have been an issue over the past year though and I've thought of cutting them off, but still I've done nothing. I've even gotten some very nice anonymous comments that I wish I could have replied back to if I'd known the persons would check back.

However, this latest anonymous comment to my Shaky Camera post back in March is the last straw. I refuse to be called stupid in my own LJ, especially by someone who doesn't have the guts to reveal themselves. I don't appreciate being attacked for having an opinion. This is not the first attack I've gotten because of this post either. There was one other back in August.

I'm not against young filmmakers, people who haven't gone to film school, or shaky camera work when it has a purpose. But what I wrote about was sloppy camera work by professionals who in my opinion, should know better. I'm also not going to apologize for being educated in proper camera techniques. I'm all for bending the rules and doing new, innovative shots and shaky camera work does have its place on film and TV....in places. But Guiding Light is an example of taking an idea and overusing it. Does it all have to be shaky? Is that really necessary? I've seen hand held camera work done to great effect, but doing it all the time on a soap just looks awful.

So I'll be turning off anonymous comments from this point on. If people are going to brand me a coward because of it, then so be it. This is my LJ, my rules. I have a right not to feel attacked in this little place online that I've created.

This cap from S2 "Playthings".

Geek boy Sam, looking over his research. See....I can post a cap that isn't from S1. Hee! Meanwhile, I'm off to bed. Did a bunch of capping yesterday of DA. Yep, more goodies waiting in the wings. :)

I capped 4 episodes of DA yesterday, which caused my PC to crash twice. Bad computer! *kicks it*

Today? I'm working on 4x01. Right now I'm sorting through my caps because as much as we all love the S4 premiere, I think over 900 caps is a bit much. That's what happens when one over-caps. It's a problem I have with a new eppy. I go a little overboard. So I'm trying to get the cap count down to something a little manageable without really losing much. I'll post selected ones and upload the full set in zipped folders later today.

Then I'll be watching the episode again to get my First Impressions review done. Can't believe there's only 2 days left until the next one. Not that I'm complaining, but I gotta get the stuff for last week's eppy done first. Rush, rush, rush. Gah! I also want to post the next set of DA caps of Jensen. So many goodies, so little time. :)

With the start of SPN's 4th season, that old question comes back to haunt me. How am I going to post my recorded caps of the episodes? Because in essence, these are only temporary caps. Come next September, there will be a shiny, new S4 DVD set to get caps from. But until then, we still want our caps, so considering exactly how to go about posting these caps is difficult. I don't need a whole ton of caps in my PB account if they'll just be replaced later.

So I've reached a compromise. Offer up a lot of caps in zipped folders, but keep the actual, posted caps to only 50 or under. As you can imagine, this is no small feat. So much new pretty! But here you go...
