New Header

Since we're a day away from Halloween, I thought I'd change my header & my default icon. The header is by me from a 4x02 cap and my cool Demon!Dean icon is by talulababy. :D

Btw, I don't do anything for Halloween anymore. I used to decorate the window by our front door and hand out candy to the neighborhood kids. However, the kids grew up, no new ones moved into the area, and Halloween became just a regular day. The weather is usually pretty cold and rainy around here anyway on that day/night (as it will be this year), so most kids don't venture out much. I think a lot of people go to area malls or to parties. In fact, if anything we have to watch out for the older kids who sometimes use that night to vandalize houses and cars. Hopefully, the rain will keep them away too. :(

My mini TIH Review (no spoilers)

I just finished watching Ten Inch Hero. What a great film! I loved it! And not simply because Jensen was in it, making Priestly the coolest guy with a mohawk ever. It was the story and the message and the characters. It all worked. I cannot understand how this film has gone 2 years without getting distribution. It's a crime that more people can't see this movie.

And I don't care that I've watched a pirated copy of the film. I'm just happy I got to see it. I'm totally against pirated films, but in this case I believe an exception needs to be made. Because, honestly, after 2 years it's unlikely this movie will ever see widespread release. It's totally unfair to everyone who worked on the film, of course, but if I had worked on it and there was no hope of it being picked up by a studio, I would be thrilled that people were even getting the chance to see it. Even if it is online through downloads. And if it ever is put out on DVD in the U.S. I will absolutely buy it!

Btw, since this is a flocked post I have something extra special to share with you. A certain Sean Patrick Flanery (from TIH) is here in WA right now. He's been filming another independent feature (a comedy) here along with Eric Roberts. I know the Extras Casting Director for the film and I'm signed up on the newsgroup she hosts for filmmaking opportunities in the area. I can also tell you that Robin Williams was here in Seattle shooting a film over the summer. *squee* So maybe....hopefully, some of the big names from Hollywood are starting to come back to the Puget Sound area to make films again.

Now I've just gotta hope that the film I'm on now will find a distributor. The plan is to have the film finished in June and send it to some of the bigger film festivals. Let's hope we don't suffer the same fate as Ten Inch Hero.

I've felt kinda crappy all day/night long. Maybe it's the lack of sleep over the past 4 days of filming catching up with me. I hope that's all it is. I really don't need to be coming down with some bug. I had a headache, was sleepy (still am), then my stomach didn't feel right, and after supper I felt a little dizzy/light-headed. Weird. So I'm heading to bed to get some decent sleep for once in the hopes that I'll feel better when I get up. 'Night all...and hooray! for it being SPN Thursday!!! :)

Project Status Report List

This filmmaking job is really biting into my LJ activities. I'm terribly behind in my posts. As proof, I offer up this status report list. This is where things stand right now.

SPN First Impressions -- 4x05 & 4x06 still need to be posted.
SPN Picspam (for S4) -- 4x06 needs to be capped yet.
SPN S1 Screencaps -- S1 Gag Reel & S1 Deleted Scenes need to be posted.
SPN B&W Fanart for S4 -- Almost completed for 4x05 and not done at all for 4x06.
SPN Revealed S2 -- Only the first 2 episodes have been posted. The next 3 or 4 are basically ready to go.

DA Screencaps -- 6 episodes along with the S2 Gag Reel & Featurettes left to post.
DA Extra Screencaps -- The first six episodes of S1 have been capped & fixed, but are not all uploaded yet.

Random Cap Art -- I only have enough pieces for 3 more posts, so I need to work at making more.
Just 'Cause -- 255 days straight and still going strong! Currently working on posting caps from the Theme Weeks that were fixed but never posted before.
Various Fanart -- I have tons of icons, headers & more that have never been posted and as S4 goes on I'm making more. I need to start posting these.

FanFiction -- Still working (in my head) on the sequel to "Unwilling To Let Go" even though on the show Dean is already out of Hell. I assure you, my solution won't be nearly as easy for the brothers. Heh.
Music Vids -- I have a whole list of these currently in the planning stages (see post listed in sidbar). Hopefully, in the coming months I'll be able to work on a few of these. i_o_r_h_a_e_l? Do you and your friend still want that vid?

Comments -- I try my best to keep up with them, but as you probably know, I've failed miserably. But please, don't stop commenting! I love hearing from you all! I wish I was a better friend and could always get back to everyone, but it just isn't happening. And meanwhile, I've got posts going back to April that have unanswered comments. *shame, shame, shame* I still don't know what to do about those. :(


I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting from this list, but it's all I can think of right now. I'm planning on catching up with my S4 episode reviews tonight/tomorrow morning. I'm going to take some shortcuts to get the First Impressions for 4x05, 4x06, and hopefully, tonight's 4x07 all posted. So stay tuned... :D

PhotoFunia Fun!

Found a cool new site the other day called PhotoFunia. It has various filters you can apply to any photo you want. No sign up. Just select your effect/filter, choose your photo, and in a few seconds you get the finished picture, which you can then save as a jpeg.

Here's my first few experiments, all with Jensen, of course. :D
