3 Icons A Day

These daily posts will be of all my past, present, and future icons. You'll see old favorites, but there will be new surprises, too. I'm starting out with some of my oldest icons. Some aren't my best, IMO, but maybe you'll think differently.

All 3 of today's icons are fairly early ones: Dean being hard to resist in DITW - Dean in that yummy red shirt from "Asylum" - And the same Dean image as the first icon with different text (Confession time! This one was originally so off color-wise that I just now tweaked it in PB to make it B&W. Believe me, it looks so much better now! It was mighty ugly before.)

Just 'Cause

This cap is from S4 "Heaven And Hell".

How about some smirking Dean to start off the week? This cap was about as random a choice as you can get. I was rediscovering an image viewer I hardly ever use on my laptop and was looking through some of my S4 caps to see how it did. Low and behold this stunning image came before my eyes and I decided to copy it to the desktop, just for this post. :) Don't worry SammyGirls. I haven't forgotten about him. He'll be here for his usual Tuesday cap. ;)
Big hugs to all my east coast flisters who are digging out from that big snowstorm. Meanwhile, up here in my little corner we're getting lots of rain. Hope the boys have their umbrellas handy, 'cause Vancouver is getting soaked too. And here's something to make us all happy....10 days until new SPN!!! :D

Wanting: A new DSLR camera! OMG With spring approaching I have this huge urge to get out and start taking photos, but I so want the new camera I've been looking at. Me wantz! Me wantz it now! *grabby hands*

And we're walking...

Took my first walk around the neighborhood since...well it's been a very long time I can tell you. I've been waiting for the weather to warm up enough and today wasn't too bad, plus the sun was out. Yay! I've been a couch potato laptop potato for far too long. It's embarrassing. However, with Vancouver Con some 5 months away, I've gotta get myself in better shape. Not only do I want to lose some pounds, but I need to get ready for walking those 5 or so blocks between our hotel and the convention hotel.

Anyway, I thought I'd make posts to track my progress. I plotted out what a mile would be walking the streets in my neighborhood (thank you Google maps!) and did that circuit once today. My tentative plan is to walk Mon-Thurs and then Saturday, since I'm not home normally on Fridays. For a while I'll stick with 1 mile, then gradually build it up.

Notes for Today's Walk:

:: Should have weighed myself first. Need to do that for tomorrow.
:: Saw lots of patches of purple crocuses in people's yards. Spring is on the way!!!
:: Came across the resident neighborhood peacock too. I think I scared him a bit. Ooopsie.
:: Should have worn a scarf to keep my neck warm. Brrrr.
:: Kinda proud of myself for even being able to walk a mile after being such a lazy slouch for so long. Go me! \0/

Webcam Pics: Vancouver BC at Dusk

Hopefully you're not getting too tired of me posting these all the time. I chose the right time to check the webcams this evening and got this idea to capture images of the city as nightfall came. tariel22, I'm sure you'll appreciate these. :) I love the 2nd one the best. Got perfect timing on it, with the last remnants of light on the mountains and the city lights taking over. Hmmm...I ought to see if I can turn it into an icon. ;)

These 3 were all taken from numinous.ca and are in clickable thumbnails because of their size (1024px × 768px).

Finally! After talking about it for what? months now? I've made some Vancouver icons! Woot! :D

Problem is...I don't have any spare userpic slots free (woe), so I'm using this current one under the name of "seasonal". LOL! It was the only thing that even remotely worked. :P Naturally, I want to share these little gems with all of you!
