Vancouver Con: Jim!!!!

There's been rumors....many from Jim himself on his Facebook, but tickets for his photo op are now up on the Creation site for Vancouver (though not on the main page yet)! Yay!!!!!! Now I can buy the photo ops for him and Misha! *iz a happy fangirl* :D

In other news, the other big convention for that same weekend in Vancouver (The Mystical Carnival) looks like it's been canceled due to "rescheduling". Is it bad that I'm happy over this? I mean, I know it's for a very good cause and all that, but talk about lousy scheduling. I'm glad they're going to have it for another time and not competing with the Creation Convention. I'm now hoping Creation will be able to get some other great guests...including Jason Manns! I like Steve Carlson, but I really like Jason's singing better. It would be awesome if they were both there! *happy sigh*

Just 'Cause - Theme Leftovers Week

Ooooh. Sammy vs. the Crossroads Demon! It is Sammy Tuesday after all and this is a leftover from Armed & Ready Week.
I got a bunch of comments taken care of! Yay! Still not completely caught up, but there's only a few days left and then some straggly comments on some older posts. I'll try to get to the rest of them later today. Ran into a little setback in getting that big post ready for this week, but I don't think it will delay me in getting it done in the next few days. Have a good day everyone. It's bedtime for me. *hugs*

Walking: Wild Is The Wind

Okay, so at first the idea of walking today was the furthest thing from my mind. I went through all the excuses: it's raining, now it's not raining, but it's windy, it's too cold... In the end though, I did it anyway. But I gotta admit, it would be easier if the weather would be more pleasant. *sigh*

Yesterday it was rain and today it was wind. Sheesh. At one point a tiny twig flew off a tree and hit me in the cheek! Ouch! Point number one of why it's not always best to go walking during gusty winds around here. Lots of trees and things like twigs and possibly branches blowing off of those trees. Not to mention the 6 inch pine cones. Yikes. Anyway, I didn't get beaned in the head with a pine cone, so I guess I should feel lucky.

Found a great new site to map out my walking routes! Gmaps Pedometer! I walked a different route today, going into our adjoining neighborhood, Cherry Park. Then I came back and did the medium loop in our neighborhood. According to the site that equals 1.25 miles and I burned 230 calories! Woot!

Notes For Today's Walk:

:: Another project to keep track of! Someone's starting to build a fence at a house 2 streets over from us.
:: The freeway was sooooo loud today! OMG!
:: At one point in Cherry Park I could actually see the freeway! So glad that I don't live in one of those houses, closest to the freeway. I think the noise would drive me nuts.
:: It was nice to see some new scenery, so to speak. I needed the change.
:: The smell of smoke was strong in the air. Lots of people using their chimneys today.
