Initial reaction & cap from 5x18

I rewatched the eppy and took some small caps for my review I'll put together this weekend. Let me just say it was an incredible 100th episode! So proud of show for turning it up to, well...not only 10, but 100. *g* I'm tired and squeed out, but I have to share this cap. I nearly gasped when I saw it on screen. New Header

In light of last night's eppy, I felt the need to change my header to something a little less somber than sad Dean. So I've got that stunning shot of Dean from 5x15. *guh*

Even have a new default icon. *sigh* So much pretty Jensen. Can't resist it. *g*

Last day of caps celebrating SPN's 100th (and how awesome was it?) and I chose one from the eppy that IMO is one of the best, even of the series as a whole, The End. I'm usually showing caps of Future!Dean from this eppy, so this time I went with this beautiful image of Dean as he wakes up in the future. I know my heart stopped for a second or two when this came on my screen. :)
This really was an incredible episode in no small part to Jensen's acting skills. To play the same character, but so differently, and opposite himself (or more accurately, his stunt double) that is quite an achievement. Future!Dean was like the same guy we've seen all these years, except hardened, bitter, and much more cynical than present Dean. Even though he might not be likable, you had to feel for the guy. A world crumbling down around him and without his brother by his side for so many years, it's frightening to think that Dean could ever end up like that.
