SPN Filming Locations List: And So It Begins...

VanCon is fast approaching (too fast, really) and so I'm starting to work on updating my Locations List from last year. Even though I got info., maps, pics, etc. for a lot of places for Seasons 1-4 for that list, I've got some new intel now that I can add in.

I forgot how addicting this can be. Hunting addresses, looking for the exact location, and comparing that to the scenes from the episodes. Thank goodness for Google Street View! That hadn't been done for Vancouver last year when I initially made this list. It's really proving to be a valuable tool.

In fact...*squee* I found a couple of hard-to-find locations from "Skin". The scene where the boys drive up to look for clues and Dean mutters into his coffee about it being 5:30 in the morning? I found it! That exact spot! And I do mean exact. Whoo-hoo! I'm also pretty sure I found the alley Dean runs down after they come out of the sewer at night. \0/

I've only gotten through the first 6 episodes, but it's a start. Some will go faster than others, because I've already got what I need for certain locations. It also helps that they've been to some places multiple times. ;)

Btw, this time I'm also putting together a Google Map of all the locations. Should be helpful. ;)

I'll keep you updated on how I'm doing like I did with last years. It's going to be a race once again to get it done in time for the Con. Yikes! Wish me luck!

Can't believe I found that spot for this scene. Yay! Not that I'll go there (downtown Vancouver? yikes), but it's just the thrill of knowing I found a tough location. Haven't felt this way since I found Border Town before anyone even knew where it was. Just when I think I'm a lot like Dean, I go all research geek girl and I'm more like Sam. :P Have a good Saturday folks. *hugs*
