Flash Drive Names

I chose the names for my flash drives and wrote them on with a silver Sharpie.

Some names kind of match the type of flash drives, but near the end it got difficult. How my latest one ended up being named Gabriel, I have no idea. LOL I knew I wanted the Impala to be a black one (check) and Dean & Sam to be the same type (double check). ;)

Thanks again for your help in the naming poll. And thus ends the Flash Drive silliness. :P

Birthday Icons!

As per my earlier poll on this subject, I'm going to try to make an icon for everyone for their birthday.

You'll note that I've put your usernames on them. This is to ensure that these icons are strictly for your use only and unique icons just for you. I tried to make them as light as possible as to not detract from the pretty. ;)

Happy Birthday wishes for June 12th (belatedly) to dugindeep, for today on June 15th to weesta & for tomorrow on June 16th to malfana! *hugs* :D



Btw, if anyone wants to leave comments telling me what they'd like their icon to be (Sam, Dean, Jensen, Jared, Misha, Castiel, Impala, etc) it would be most helpful! :D

Just 'Cause - Leather Jacket Love Week

I've mentioned my theory about the lost leather jacket in comments to some of you, but here goes: I'm not sure I buy the whole "There was only 1 leather jacket and it was stolen" bit. I know they have duplicates of every piece of clothing the guys wear. We're supposed to believe they didn't have an extra jacket? What about for Jensen's stunt double to wear? What if it got damaged in a stunt? And even if they only did have the one, couldn't they just buy a similar leather jacket to use? IMO They decided to lose the leather jacket like they did the amulet, ring, and bracelet and none of them will probably ever be seen again. *sigh*
Still need to catch up on some comments, but I'm getting there. ;) Once that's done I need to get busy on some of the bigger projects here on LJ. Looking to get the Name That Cap III Challenge started up in the coming weeks. Don't even get me started on the To-Do List. Eeep. Off to bed shortly...with a full belly (chocolate birthday cake...mmmm). Have a good Wednesday folks. *hugs*

Canucks lose Stanley Cup

The Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup over the Vancouver Canucks. Sorry the Canucks lost. I know I'm American and normally I'd root for the home team, but it's more an east coast/west coast thing for me, so I was pinning my hopes for Vancouver.

However, I'm embarrassed over the riots and destruction being done in downtown Vancouver tonight.

This is not how you lose gracefully. This is not classy. This is not the city that glowed with goodwill and graciousness during the Olympics. Maybe I have too high an opinion of Vancouverites and Canadians in general, but I thought they were above this sort of thing.

Guess not. :(

But I know the problem isn't really with people in Vancouver. After all, this kind of rioting goes on in the U.S. and all around the world when a team loses (or sometimes even wins!) a championship.

So here's my idea: There should be a common, global law that if there are widespread riots that take place in any city over a championship game then that team does not get to play at all in the next season. None. Nada. Zip. See ya the year after that. If people can't contain their bitterness, their team has no right to play.

'Cause, c'mon! There's always a next year. Being violent is not going to change the outcome of the final game! It's not going to get you that championship or that trophy! It just causes destruction, costs money, hurts people, and generally makes you look like idiots. There'll be another chance to win, another chance to triumph. This isn't the end of the world....it's sports. The sun will still rise tomorrow even though your team lost.

I still love Vancouver and have total respect and admiration for my neighbors to the north, throughout all of Canada. Let's just say I'm a bit disappointed in a few hundred people in Van tonight that's making the whole city look bad. Not cool people. :(
