I love the whole triumphant return of the Impala in this opening scene. AC/DC is blasting, lots of shots of the car from every conceivable angle, and Dean's a happy camper again. It's an act, of course, covering up all the pain and burdens he's carrying around, but for a moment we can forget that and be happy that he's behind the wheel of his baby again. Oh, and I love that "severed heads/dead cows" line from Sam. Only on Supernatural would that become an iconic line.

My goal is to post a title cap each day until I catch up to Season 7 and then it'll be weekly. Each cap has been given the same effect in Picnik, which I think provides a nice gritty, cinematic feel.

DEAN: "Whoo! Listen to her purr! Have you ever heard anything so sweet?"
SAM: "You know, if you two want to get a room, just let me know, Dean."
DEAN: "Oh, don't listen to him, baby. He doesn't understand us."
SAM: "You're in a good mood."
DEAN: "Why shouldn't I be?"
SAM: "No reason."
DEAN: "Got my car, got a case, things are looking up."
SAM: "Wow. Give you a couple of severed heads and a pile of dead cows and you're Mister Sunshine.
DEAN: "How far to Red Lodge?"
SAM: "Uh, about another three hundred miles."
DEAN: "Good."

This cap is from 6x18 "Frontierland"

Today's cap is for [livejournal.com profile] thursdaysisters who wanted to see "near the end of Frontierland where Cas is sitting down exhausted, and gives Dean this withering look when he admits that he's too tired to send them back a second time." Pretty sure this is it. It's the only cap I have of Cas from that moment.
As predicted, my Sunday was very productive compared to Saturday. Got a lot of things marked off my to-do list. :D Sadly, I'm still hunting for a logo-free download of 7x08. *sigh* I will be posting caps from 7x05 later today. I've also got a fanfic idea bouncing around in my head that I'm working on. So much to do and the weeks seem to be flying by. Have a good Monday folks. *hugs*

Time for some more fic recs and my favorite...hurt!Dean. *g*

:: No Quarter by gaelicspirit
Summary: Dean and Sam are pitted against a powerful evil as they fight a battle in a timeless town. Dean's inner demons threaten to defeat him as the brothers struggle to survive. Set in Season 2, after Crossroad Blues.
Words: 38,174
Lots of interesting situations in this one and I love the setting and other characters the boys encounter. Even the big bad is uber scary and creepy. Of course, the best part is poor Dean getting hurt multiple times and a very worried Sam.

:: Wake Up And Fight by gaelicspirit
Summary: When Sam is attacked and marked for possession by a 'Hell Bearer,' Dean will stop at nothing to save his brother. Pain and exhaustion he's handled before; however, adding to that the horrific memories of Hell may be too much for this world-weary hunter.
Words: 50,381
The latest from gaelic and it's awesome (as usual). It's a long fic, but you'll never know it. I had a very hard time putting this one down. There is a nice equal levels of hurt between the boys, but by the end Dean is definitely worse off. Highly recommended!

:: Slow Poison by K. Hanna Korossy
Summary: Mystery Spot missing day: The taco wasn't funny at all.
Words: 4,309
You can't go wrong with a fic by this author. This is one of my favorites. If you like slow, agonizing, hurt!Dean and protective, comforting Sam than this is perfection. It's not pretty (food poisoning never is), but so heartbreaking and sweet (I can totally see Dean being an A-Team fan) at the same time. Two big thumbs up!

In an effort to not delay getting the caps to you all this season I'm going to try to post each episode as soon as possible after it airs. No more big wait time like with Season 6.

All caps are 1280 x 720.
Keep in mind that these caps are just to tide you over until the BluRay ones come along in the future. ;)

It's that time of year again to get started on mailing out cards to my beloved flist. :D

I'm trying to get the word out a little sooner this year because I know it takes some time for the international cards to reach their destinations.

I can send E-cards or regular mail cards (goodness knows I've inherited plenty from my grandma).

Comments to this post are screened, but you can also PM or email me the info. (at raloria613 at gmail.com).
Here's my address if you want to mail me a card. I feel I can trust you folks not to stalk me. :P

Handy-dandy form for filing out in comments:

Thank you my friends! Looking forward to sending lots of great cards out across the miles. :D
