SPN Episode Title Caps: 2x11 Playthings

Another tricky cap to get because of course the camera was moving up to Jared while the title was on the screen. This was the best I could do. Not too bad, really.

My goal is to post a title cap each day until I catch up to Season 7 and then it'll be weekly. Each cap has been given the same effect in Picnik, which I think provides a nice gritty, cinematic feel.

Sammy Tuesdays are back! Been a little reluctant to post this one, considering his face is partially cut off, but I do like this cap. Maybe it's the eye-rolling at Dean or it's the added plus of neck!porn. :P
I spent a good part of Monday downloading new music online. Always fun to have new tunes to listen to. :D I did get my 7x06 caps posted and my logo-free download of 7x09. Yay! Now if I can just get back to capping. Hmmm. I'm working on it. Meanwhile, there's a big rain/wind storm headed our way over today & tomorrow. Typical Thanksgiving week weather for around here. Have a good Tuesday folks. *hugs*

Fanfic rants

Been reading through some old SPN fanfics that I've got printed out and found one that's going straight into the recycle bin.

I sometimes wonder how much people know the show before they start writing these things? The Impala is not a manual transmission. You ever seen Dean shifting gears all the time while driving? Nope, 'cause it's an automatic. And the boys don't stay in hotels. They don't have to use a key card to get into any room. The places they stay at are old, run down, and use old fashioned keys in the door locks.

*sigh*

On top of that the characterizations were off a bit. Sam telling Dean to "Shut the cake-hole, that's an order"? Uh, I don't think so. The other way around I would buy, but not coming from Sam. I don't care how out of it he is after "Mystery Spot".

I couldn't even finish reading the thing by this point. I'm done. Out it goes.

Sorry, just had to rant a bit there.

I overslept today which overall sucks out loud 'cause I hate when that happens. Makes me feel that I've lost most of the day and what I can do with it. Anyway, once I was awake my mind suddenly went DING! and I came to some realizations about a few things.


:: Reply to each day's LJ comments. This way I at least won't fall any further behind than I already am (3 months - sheesh). If I feel like replying to more beyond that (& I have the time at the moment) fine, but at least get the current ones taken care of so I'm not continually drowning in comments.

:: Need to cut back on the sample caps that I use in my cap posts. Yes, I know I've tried this before (and have failed), but I've got a plan this time. Make a list of the episode's highlights. Pull caps only from those moments and reduce it down to 10 - no more!

:: Go through the stuff in the containers in my room so I can get stuff away from my computer desk. I'm tired of having to move stuff away from there so I can turn the PC on. A little rearranging and I think (hope) it's possible.
