Online Image Editors Review

In light of my beloved Picnik shutting down in April, I quickly began the process of finding a replacement. While I use PhotoScape on my PC a lot to fix caps and make fanart, I also like having a free, online image editor that I can use anywhere I have internet access. Way back when I discovered Picnik, it really was the best thing around which is why I have a paid account. But I'm happy to report that there are good alternatives out there and even a couple truly worthy successors to Picnik.

SPN Episode Title Caps: 6x17 My Heart Will Go On

Another of those bizarre episodes where everything gets turned on it's head. SPN seems to be making a habit out of these types of episodes...not that I'm complaining. *g* Nice little look at Bobby's house. *le sigh* Check out the books ON the stairs. I never noticed that before, but then it could also just be a quirk of THIS version of Bobby.

My goal is to post a title cap each day until I catch up to Season 7 and then it'll be weekly. Each cap has been given the same effect in Picnik, which I think provides a nice gritty, cinematic feel.

Daily Fanart: Dean from "Live Free Or Twi-hard"

This is a brand new fanart, made just the other day when I was working on the big Just 'Cause picspam. I got to this cap and realized it worked better as fanart than as a straight cap. The song "I Believe" by Diamond Rio just happened to be playing at that time and I was inspired by it. I do love angsty vampire!Dean. :)

I can't look at this cap without seeing the bit from the Season 2 Gag Reel of Jared backing right through the open doorway and Jensen breaking out in laughter. :D
I feel good. Had a productive Wednesday even though I didn't get to what I set out to do. Ah, the best laid plans... But I got my caps of 7x09 posted and my Online Image Editor reviews done. Nice to have that big post finally out of the way.

Fanart Bonus!!!

Had to post this right away because I love it so much! *squee*

Was playing around in BeFunky and used the Underpainting effect. Wow! Stunning. But the cap still needed some touching up on his cheek. Went in search of a way to smooth it out and found iPiccy was the answer. Lots of touching up later and this is the result! :D

I realize it's not perfect, but eh...I'll live with it. :P
