Fade In, Fade Out: SPN's Beginnings & Endings - 2.20 What Is And What Should Never Be

I'll try to post these at least twice a week, maybe every Monday & Friday (but don't hold me to those days!). I've already got all the images for Seasons 1 & 2 ready to go. Sometimes there will be more than one cap for a beginning or ending of an episode. I'm also using my capper's discretion - meaning I'm choosing the most aesthetically pleasing image that we see first or last not always literally the first or last things we see. I'll explain this as we go along.

2.20 Beginning: The episode begins with Dean driving the Impala (sporting new plates) set to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Saturday Night Special"


2.20 Ending: A heartbreaking ending as Dean laments how badly he wanted to stay in the make-believe world the Djinn gave him.
Sam: Yeah, but... Dean... it wasn't real.
Dean: I know. But I wanted to stay. I wanted to stay so bad. I mean, ever since Dad... all I c– all I can think about is how much this job's cost us... We've lost so much. We've... sacrificed so much.
Sam: But people are alive because of you. It's worth it, Dean. It is. It's not fair, and... you know, it hurts like hell, but... it's worth it.
