Some photos from May 12th
May. 13th, 2008 03:53 amThe day I was dreading (May 12th) has come and gone. It's a relief to have the 2nd anniversary of my Dad's death over and finished. As usual, I was far more emotional in the days and weeks before the day than on the day itself. Everything went very calmly and smoothly and the day was more pleasant than sad.
Mom & I bought some nice carnations for Dad's grave. Not only do they last a long time, but they hold special sentimental value. My Dad used to bring carnations for my Mom and I on Valentine's Day. Afterwards, we drove over to a park on the beach that I wanted to check out. It's a nice place to watch ships travel through Puget Sound, even though on this day things were very quiet.
I took a few close up photos of the flowers. :)

A house on the very tip of Dash Point, looking southwest.

I'm standing on the pier for this shot, looking back at the houses along the shore. As you can tell, the tide is out.

Standing on the pier and looking back at Dash Point Park.

A closer look at the beach.

This is a cool looking log on the beach, which was right by where our car was parked.
