My nightly snow walk
Dec. 21st, 2008 11:49 pmI ventured out once again with my handy wooden ruler to enjoy the snow for a little bit and measure how much we've gotten in the past 24 hours.
Current snow total (with it still falling): 7 inches
The way the current forecast is (for continued snow showers into Monday), we could have a foot of the stuff by morning.
No wind tonight, which means the snow is sticking to the tree branches more, weighing them down. It looks incredible. I haven't seen this much snow here in years. You can barely tell where the curbs are in the neighborhood and I could tell most folks haven't even stepped outside in days because their garbage cans are still sitting on the edge of their driveways since Thursday's pickup.
I even ate a little snow. It's a habit I've had since childhood. :P
Looks like it will indeed be a White Christmas for us.
