I liked this episode better than I thought I would at first. Initially, I was all "oh...vampires again", but everything came together nicely. Every episode this season so far has been a winner. I'm one happy fangirl.

- Another nice recap. Keep them coming guys! Don't know what song was played and the captions didn't mention it.

- Yeah, yeah, girl running through dark woods...ooops! Lost her head. Let's move on, shall we.

- METALLICAR IS BACK, BABY! *Points to icon!*

What an excellent opening and reintroduction to the Impala. "Back In Black" blaring, the loving camera angles all around, the boys smiling...good times! Kripke loves us! I was grinning from ear to ear.

Best lines:
Dean: Whoo! Listen to her purr! You ever heard anything so sweet?
Sam: You know if you two wanna get a room just let me know, Dean.
Dean: Awww. Don't listen to him baby. He doesn't understand us.
Sam: You're in a good mood.
Dean: Why shouldn't I be?
Sam: No reason.
Dean: Got my car, got a case. Things are lookin' up.
Sam: Wow. Give you a couple of severed heads and a pile of dead cows and you're Mr. Sunshine.

I swear, "Back In Black" has to be the Impala's official theme song. Has to be. It was great to see the boys cruisin' in that beautiful car once again. It was also nice to have a happy moment for once. I love all the angst so far this season, but this was a wonderful moment of pure bliss, especially for Dean and goodness knows he needs a little happiness right now.

- Hey, aren't those the same suits they wore in Something Wicked?

- Love how Sammy gets a little uncomfortable when the sheriff describes in detail about how a cow rots.

- More queaziness from Sammy. Heh. Love the brotherly banter here too. "Go ahead. You go ahead" Yep, it's vampires again.

Sam: Well this changes things.
Dean: Ya think.

Too cute!

- I'm surprised Dean didn't jump on Sam's neck about handing over that $50. My how things have changed since Bloody Mary.

- I gotta say that from reading the script sides from this episode I was expecting Gordon to be older.

- Check out Gordon's weapon rack. The guy is clearly just showing off.

- Feel the boys are sort of out of the loop in the Hunter's community? Everyone knows about them, but they didn't know there were so many other hunters around.

- Love the lighting on the guys as Gordon drives off. It's a little unrealistic, but beautiful.

- So the guys end up saving Gordon. And Dean goes all primitive and really enjoys beating up and sawing off the vampire guy's head just a bit too much. Yikes! The blood splatters and even Sam's a bit scared of what Dean just did. We're all a bit scared. Dean's got some major issues going on and the boy is stepping into the dark side.

- Dean and Gordon are having a great time celebrating...Sam...not so much.

Gordon: Well lighten up a little Sammy.
Sam: He's the only one who gets to call me that. (nods towards Dean)

That's right buddy. Only Dean calls him Sammy. Grrr!

- So Sam leaves and Gordon & Dean share hunting stories. Then Dean gets to talking about John and how he realizes he's not dealing with his death very well. This is huge. At least Dean recognizes his problem. Knows he has to "keep a game face on" for Sam. Dean's found someone he can confide in about his dad's death with Gordon. Even Gordon realizes they're both hunters and cut from the same cloth - and different from Sam. It would be nice if Dean could share these feelings with Sam, but that would be difficult because Sam has his own issues that he's dealing with. Gordon's advice...hunting as therapy. What?! This guy is a nut. Look at Dean's face...fearful perhaps of the path he's on right now, but unsure how to get off of it.

- Sam calls Ellen. She's such a great motherly figure for the guys. Her advice...Gordon's bad news...stay away.

- Gordon goes on about hunting being all black and white with no shades of grey. This guy gets creepier and creepier and Dean is buying right into what he's saying, which is even worse.

- Sam ventures out for a can of pop and feels someone's watching him...turns out he was right. Ouch! That phone packs quite a wallop!

- Nice work with the shots of the truck on the bridge, the shot of Sam tied to the chair, and then the blurry shot of the guy as the blindfold is lifted off. Very cinematic.

- "Listen lady, no offense, but you're not the first vampire I've met." Sam is really acting like Dean in this scene with Lenore and Elli. The snarky attitude and the quick comeback lines are all there. Jared does a great job here.

- Dean's so enamored of Gordon it seems like he doesn't even realize Sam is gone...at least at first. He had me worried for a few seconds there.

- Great scene between the brothers here. Sam's all "we shouldn't go after them" and Dean's all let's kill 'em all. Dean just doesn't buy that vampires are anything less than monsters that must be killed. Dean: "They're all the same, Sam. They're not human." Gordon's influence yelling loud and clear there. He doesn't really believe Sam's story and seems to trust Gordon. Doesn't like it that Sam called Ellen either. Then Sam brings out the big guns...mentions dad. He tries to make Dean admit he's got problems and that he's using Gordon as a substitute for John. I knew Sam was going to take this too far and make Dean mad. At first I thought "oh you've done it now, Dean's going to get you for that" and for a second I thought Dean was going to hit him. Then I thought "nah, he wouldn't do that". Then he did and it shocked me a bit. I think it surprised Sam more than hurt him. Yeah, Sam was right, but he was pushing Dean's buttons so he had to expect some kind of reaction. Kudos to Jensen & Jared for a great scene once again. That was a lot of dialog to get through.

- How cool is it that Dean can hotwire a car?

- Even though Sam's "a monster pain in the ass" Dean's still impressed with his baby brother's tracking skills.

- Where are the other vampires? Why is it just Lenore and Elli in that house? Would've been nice to see some of the others.

- Nice looks between the brothers in the car.

- Gordon is one sick puppy. Torturing that poor girl. Dean's still unsure whether to believe Sam...until Gordon ups the ante and grabs Sam. Protective big brother mode kicks in. Yes. Gordon killed his sister too...the sicko. Lenore resists Sam's blood and Dean is convinced.

- Oh yeah. It's time for some asskickin'...Dean-style. Jensen got quite a work out this episode. Love it when he bashes Gordon's head into the wall when he has him in the head-lock at the end "oh sorry". Heh.

- Who thinks Gordon is going to come back in the future and give the boys some trouble later on? Pure hate comin' out of his eyes at Dean. Must have been what Ellen meant with her warning. Dean: "You gotta tinkle yet?" And one last smackdown from Dean. "I'm good now. We can go"

- Dean knows he was wrong and wants Sam to hit him back. Sam of course, refuses...for now. "I'll take a raincheck"

- "What if we killed things that didn't deserve killing". Dean opens up a little. Worries that their dad raised them to be ruthless killers, hating everything. He admits to wanting to kill all the vampires and not question whether they were different or not. How he enjoyed killing the vampire at the mill. Sam points out that he didn't kill Lenore. But Dean wanted to.

Sam: Yeah Dean, but you didn't and that's what matters.
Dean: Because you're a pain in my ass.

Okay everyone, that's Dean's way of telling Sam he loves him. See the head turn and the quiet way he said it without looking at Sam. Awwww! He even thanks Sam. Big brother hug for Dean!

- Another beautiful close up of Dean at the end. These are becoming a regular thing. But the Impala gets the last word at the end as a final tribute to the lady's return. Nice.
