An icon question...

raloriaPhew! I just finished making 16 icons!
Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, except that usually I don't make that many at one time. This has also got me to thinking about my icon policy and I thought my lovely flist might have some insight on this matter.
All the icons I use are ones I've made myself. I admire and appreciate the icons of others, but when I started this LJ a year ago I sort of made up my mind to just make my own. My thinking was that if I used my own I'd have something unique on LJ. My icons would be my own and nobody elses. Now, I'm rethinking this. Maybe I'm being selfish keeping these all to myself. I know my icons aren't as fancy as a lot of others out there, but I like them for their simplicity. There are a few where I've added filters and gradients to liven them up, but most of them are just my caps with a bit of added text.
I suppose there are some people who would like to use them. I even had one taken last year and used without my permission. But I like sharing with the fandom, as my many picspams can attest, and I feel maybe I'm selfishly holding on to these icons.
So I'm asking you, dear flist, if you think I should share my icons? Would you like to use some of my icons? Maybe I should make them all available? Or maybe just certain ones? What do you think? I'd really appreciate your input on this. *hugs flist*
