This Week In TV
Sep. 26th, 2009 06:46 pmThought I'd try a new series of posts, this time recapping the TV shows I've watched each week.
Dancing With The Stars:
Happy to see Macy and Ashley get the boot. They were by far the weakest dancers of the bunch, so I'm glad the audience got rid of them. I didn't vote....yet. It's tough for me to choose any favorites in the first week or two. Maybe next week. Really impressed with Donny Osmond and Joanna Krupa.
Castle:
I missed this show so much. Almost as much as SPN. I've totally accepted Susan Sullivan as the mother now. She's cool. Castle spent most of the eppy getting the cold shoulder from everyone at the precinct, but I'm happy that at the end he did the right thing and apologized to Kate and she decided to let him stick around. :)
The Forgotten:
A copycat of Cold Case, but since I never watched that show, it's okay. ;) I'm already interested in the characters (always a good sign w/me) and I think I'll know for sure by the next episode if I'm going to stick w/this series. Money right now would say yes.
Eastwick:
Had no intention on watching this new show, but I came across it while channel hopping and stuck around. Kind of like Charmed, except the characters aren't sisters. Looks interesting, but will ABC keep it around. The network doesn't do well with Sci-Fi/Fantasy type shows. Hmmm....
Flash Forward:
Awesome pilot. Made me think of Lost's premiere with dumping you right in the action from the first frame. Lots to take in, but the idea is new and intriguing. Looking forward to the next eppy of this one.
Survivor:
Two gals already given the boot all thanks to evil Russel's master plan. This dude may go down in history as the most hated Survivor player ever. Talk about despicable. He empties the canteens of everyone in camp, burns one guy's socks, tells lies about being a Katrina survivor, and forms fake alliances with every female in his tribe. I hope someone finds out what he's really doing and convinces the others to vote him out.
Fringe:
Another show that I missed a lot. Nice to see Olivia and Peter working together more. *glee* Love the caring he's showing her. Watching the show is extra fun for me now that they're filming in Vancouver. I keep looking for filming locations I recognize from SPN. TeeHee! Already spotted Riverview, possibly the Boundary Bay location, and the Thomas Brown House. *squee* Aaaannnnddd....as if that wasn't enough, guest starring on this week's eppy....John Savage!!!!! Awesomeness! Some of you may know why that's a big deal for me. *g*
Supernatural:
Check out my First Impressions post for my full review. Loved the eppy! Hurts to see the boys apart, but I know they'll reconcile soon. Now that we have a glimpse of the show's endgame, how will they get there? Can't wait to see the journey. Best moments: Dean & Castiel at the brothel, Sam fighting the hunters, Sam & Jessica talking, Dean & Cas trapping Raphael. Favorite line: "Last time you zapped me someplace I didn't poop for a week!" Heehee!
The Vampire Diaries:
After saying I wasn't sure I'd keep watching this show, I decided to give it another chance. Glad I did, because it was actually better for this 3rd eppy. Can't put my finger on exactly how it was better, but it was. Considering it's before SPN, I'll probably keep watching it anyways.
