So here's my review...finally. I really liked this ep. Even more than last week's although it was okay in it's own way. I loved how the boys were separated for almost the entire episode, yet they were still working the case together. Is there some brotherly psychic bond going on here? Maybe. Remember how Sam heard SpiritDean say that line about a priest laying some mojo on him in "In My Time Of Dying"? Something was going on there. Hmmmmm. Anyway, I love it whenever we get to see them really being brotherly towards each other. *hugs them both* Love my boys...love them. Anyhoo...on to the review.

* Love the rundown of all their aliases in the recap. That was fun.

* So we open with a police station in Baltimore, Maryland. I couldn't help but think of "Homicide: Life On The Street" when I saw that. I used to be a fan of the show back in the day...some great actors on that show.

* I just wanna say I thought this ep was paced perfectly. There was so much information told in just the first 15 min. Excellent work.

* It's amusing how Sam has picked up Dean's snarky traits. I love it. "Second largest ball of twine" *giggle snort* It was there in Bloodlust and now we get some more. Jared did a great job with his facial expressions here, especially when Linda's character was going over his history.

* I like her attitude in this scene too. "Shy? No problem, I'll keep going."

* Love how Sam looks away when she says "Dean's as good as gone." He didn't like hearing that. He's lost too much already. Awwww! Poor Sammy. *Hugs him*

* The flashback scenes are what made this ep in my opinion. Sam's lying is masterful and I loved how they paired that with what really happened. It was an interesting and original (for SPN) way of explaining how they ended up getting arrested.

* Can I just say I loved Sam's hair in this first flashback scene? Pretty darned sexy...and I'm a DeanGirl.

* Loved the whole Mulder and Scully bit. The brotherly banter is back....and there was much rejoicing.

* I just gotta say, this Karen looks way to young to have been married to the Anthony Giles shown in that newspaper photo. And that actress seemed so familiar to me. Then I read online that she was in an episode of DA (the one with the vampire-like people) and I went "ahah!". I knew I recognized her from somewhere.

* Dean doesn't waste any time, does he? Jumps right to the chase and asks her whether Tony saw anything strange before he died. Love the looks Sam gives him. These two can communicate volumes just with their eyes and this was never more evident than in this episode.

* I love how Sam has a completely plausible answer to every one of Diana's questions. He's certainly learned a lot from Dean over the past year.

* The scene in Giles's office...nice effect with the word written on the glass. "Wow. I'd say we've officially crossed over into weird." That's my new favorite Sammy line. But seriously, that's weird? They see weird every day.

* Bored Dean is hilarious! Except to Sam, of course..."Dude!". Heehee! I used to click my tongue like that a lot but I kind of grew out of it. Sam had him pegged alright...Dean really is 7. *g*

* I was sort of surprised Dean didn't say anything when he was arrested. He didn't even try to explain why he was there. And wouldn't they notice there was no murder weapon on him?

* The other best part of the ep...where the brothers each work on the Dana Shulps anagram. It was like they were actually having a conversation together. Are these two on the same wavelength or what. It's too cool. It was also neat to see each of their handwriting. That really was Jensen and Jared doing the writing, right? Oh, and on a purely fangirl level I loved that shot of Dean with his eyes closed and mouthing out the words silently.

* "I'm handcuffed to a table. Yeah, I get it." Oh Dean. Loved the Matlock reference that the brothers shared too.

* I have a lot of love for "The Great Escape" references because it's one of my favorite movies. Hilts and McQueen...too cute. And Dean is very much like Steve McQueen, isn't he?

* Dean's confession scene is excellent. Loved his whole snarkiness "I'm an Aquarias. I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach, and frisky women." LOL! Then he basically tells the truth, but in his own Dean-smartass-way, of course. "I'm not jokin' Ponch." That was funny too. And on another fangirly moment...I loved that little grunt he gave when he was handcuffed again. *melts*

* Okay...just how did Sam get out of that room? I wanna know.

* And how could Pete not know about "The Great Escape"? I was convinced he was the killer right then. :p

* The scene in the restroom reminded me so much of one you would see in The X-Files. The taps turning on, the steam, the words appearing on the mirror. Good makeup job on the spirit-gal, too.

* I like the scene between Dean and Diana. His closups were especially nice (and when aren't they?). Dean's still all snarky until he sees the marks on Diana's wrists and realizes she's seen the spirit. "You need to go to Sam. He'll help." I like how Dean realizes he can't help her, but will send her to the one other person who can, even if it might mean Sam getting arrested again. And of course, I loved how they have a whole system set up (Jim Rockford!) if they get separated.

* You just knew something was going to happen when Diana and Sam separated in that old building, didn't you?

* Sam, it isn't enough that you've got your arm in a cast? Busting down that brick wall with your elbow is probably not too great an idea.

* Why is that body all mummified? Seriously. I almost expected them to find some canopic jars in there with her.

* Okay, I'll admit to being a little ignorant here. Just what is a lo-jack? Some kind of tracking device?

* Again, great eye communication between the boys in that final scene. Sam wants to make a move to help Dean out, but Dean knows it's too risky and tells him no.

* Pete: "Just one more dead scumbag." Dean: "Hey!" Loved Dean's reaction there! Too funny.

* Did anyone else see that weird light spot on Pete's forehead when he turned around and saw Claire's spirit? What was with that? Or is it just me seeing too much?

* Loved the little shove Sam gave to Dean at the very end...and the pea soup reference was a nice touch.

I'm really looking forward to the next episode - have been ever since I read the script sides. I'll just say this...Dean..speaking....Latin. I can't wait! And this is certainly going to an eppy with a lot more angst for Dean. If the scenes between him and the demon play out anything near what the sides indicated...there is going to be some major tears falling. I am such a sucker for angst on this show. Bring it on!
