After a long summer (though surprisingly not as long as last years) the Winchester boys are back on the road and we're set for another round of Supernatural adventures!
These are just my first impressions of the Season Three premiere. My full-length review with caps will be posted later. This just gives me a chance to express my initial thoughts about the episode and touch on a few highlights.
With each of these First Impressions posts I'll include a little cropped cap from the episode. I decided to do something different and make them b&w.
Consider this fanart. If you take it, please give credit. :)

First of all, even though I wasn't really BouncyOMGI'mExcited for this episode (don't ask me why...maybe 'cause of the week I've had), I still really loved this first new episode.
* That black demon cloud was so cool!
* LOVE the new title card!!!! So awesome with the colorful clouds.
* Oh, Dean...I've missed you so much! Dean getting some female action and poor Sam getting a peek is definitely one of the episode's highlights.
* I couldn't help but giggle over seeing Dean eating again!
* Ewwwww! I see creepy, smelly dead people! And the real kicker? "Dallas" on the TV! *gigglesnort*
* I like Tamara & Isaac. Love Dean's reaction of them all ignoring him after Isaac knocks him down. "Hello! Bleeding here!" LOL!
* Seriously...those shoes weren't that good.
* I cracked up with Dean being totally over the top and pulling the whole "my time is up" bit at Sam...and Sam going along with it!!!! So glad to see him give that up by the end of the eppy.
* Damn! Bobby cleans up good!
* Eeek! Demon bar!
* Poor Isaac! What a nasty way to go.
* So glad that wasn't the Impala going through that wall. *pets Impala*
* Whoo! Go Bobby! Even the boys are a little surprised by his outburst.
* Love the whole scene with the EnvyDemon. Kim Manners did an amazing job, as did Serge L. on the gorgeous candle lighting. Love those closeups!
* Was I the only one who expected a heart-to-heart moment between the boys in that one scene? But instead they just exchange looks, which I gotta say is actually better. Even though my fangirly self was dying for them to say something.
* Nice pacing in this episode. Nothing's drawn out too long. I like that.
* Oh no! She put the whammy on Dean! Wait. What am I complaining about? He's kissing...*drools*
* The scene with Sam and PrideDemon is excellent! Great dialog and acting from both.
* Ruby executing the demons was awesome! Love the knife action. The fast/slow action with the film was very cool.
* I got to thinking on my second look at the eppy...how awful it is to be a victim of demon possession. If a hunter finds you and exorcises the demon you may end up dead, your body will be salted and burned in an unmarked grave, and your family will never know what happened to you.
* Ah...the brother-to-brother moment. You knew there had to be one. Excellent all the way around. I'm glad Dean finally told Sam about the real terms of the deal.
Expect my full review w/caps to be posted sometime over the weekend.
