In preparation for this month's VanCon, I've been preparing to do a few picspams in honor of Vancouver. This will be in 3 parts: Vancouver, certain city landmarks, and then a third picspam featuring the convention hotel, the Sheraton Wall Centre. :D

Unlike the first picspam, this one is more centered on certain aspects of Vancouver, BC: some landmarks, some areas, and some wide views of the city from the air. Enjoy! :D

Once again, none of these pics are mine. I found them all on Flickr. I'll give credit and links where I can.

A typical downtown street in the Gastown area. I can only imagine SPN has filmed here. *g*

You should recognize the Astoria Hotel from SPN's "Lazarus Rising".

The Yale Hotel. I know the outside of this place quite well, since it's right across the street from the hotel we stay in while in Vancouver. Word has it the SPN production has held several wrap parties here.

I love Vancouver so much, that I have dreams of living there some day. I went in search of views of the city from various high rise apartments.

The beautiful Burrard Street Bridge at night.

A misty view of some buildings on a foggy night.

This is my other favorite Vancouver bridge, the one for Granville Street. I get a great view of this one from our hotel, which is barely visible on the right edge of the photo.

My favorite picture of the city through a high rise window. When I imagine living in Vancouver, this is what I see. :D

Two years ago during Vancouver's Celebration of Light mother nature put on her own show before the fireworks began. This is a great image of that night.

This is the inside of the Marine Building, used for SPN's "Nightshifter".

A view of Granville Street. You'll recognize the Vogue Theatre from SPN's "Criss Angel Is A Douchebag".

Another familiar site to fans of SPN or Dark Angel. It's the interior of St. Andrews-Wesley church, which just happens to be across the street from the Sheraton Wall Centre hotel.

Now for the aerial views. This is a nice look at English Bay, Stanley Park, downtown, and Granville Island.

Gorgeous image of downtown along with a bit of North Vancouver and looking east to Burnaby.

Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver area from space thanks to NASA.

That's Granville street coming in from the bottom of the picture.

A view of Burrard bridge on the left and Granville bridge on the right coming into Vancouver.

A look at Vancouver's eastside with Burrard, Granville, and in the upper right corner, the Cambie Street bridge.
