raloriaI'm going to try to post one or two seasonal/holiday songs a day. These will come from either my own CD collection or my online findings. I'll try my best to make a post each day and we'll see how many I can get done by Christmas day. These songs will run the gamut: from traditional to modern takes on old classics. There will be country, pop, jazz, oldies, big band, new age, comedy....anything and everything. And don't think that if you don't celebrate Christmas that there won't be anything for you. Not all of the offerings will be specific to Christmas. Some will be just about winter. They will all be favorites of mine and I'll give you some info. and why it's my fave with each song. One Bright Star (This Christmas Night) -- By Vince Gill from "Let There Be Peace On Earth".
I was a big Vince Gill fan back in the day, even went to a few concerts. Since then I've sort of strayed away from the current crop of country music artists, preferring to stick with the ones I enjoyed in the past. This is one of my favorites from his first Christmas album.
Rockin' Round The Christmas Tree -- By Brenda Lee from "The Best Of Christmas, Volume 1".
This is an old favorite. I've seen Brenda Lee's show in Branson, Missouri and I can tell you she performs this hit year round, lit up Christmas tree on the stage and everything!
