Yeah, I didn't bother to hide the title this time. But I figure if you don't know the title by now...well...tough. Heehee! ;P

I'm so excited for tomorrow night's episode! The hiatus is about to end at long last and the boys will back in new action.
What we know:
Title: Malleus Maleficarum
Who's involved: A coven of witches & Ruby makes an appearance.
Carnage/Emotional Toll: Dean suffers quite a bit in this one. Sam admits he's trying to prepare for his big brother's death by becoming more like Dean. Sam shows more of his darker tendencies. And Dean meets Ruby for the first time.
Squee Factor: If the clips we've seen are any indication, this is going to be a great episode! Dean meets Ruby! The boys discuss Dean's impending death and Sam's changes. Dean um....eeep! Ouch! This is not gonna be pretty.

Okay, now for those of you who are bit more spoiler leery, here's my more abbreviated take on the eppy. We're going to learn more about demons (even Kripke's confirmed this) which is always a good thing. Sam's ready to take that step over to the dark side, especially in order to save Dean (or because Dean will be gone soon - either way works). We learn more about Ruby (again, very cool).
I'll admit, I'm a hurt!Dean! fan, but seeing the poor guy hacking up blood was shocking to say the least. It made me cry. And the fact that Sam had to leave him in order to try and save his brother was even more heartbreaking. Poor Dean! Helpless and in pain on the floor....*cries* And I can't wait to see what the episode's final scene will be like. You just know it's gonna be something good. *rubs hands together in anticipation* I can't wait!!!!!!
Jared has indicated that the plan was for Dean & Sam to both turn a little darker near the end of the season. I'm thinking we might see some hints toward this direction in this episode. We've already seen the signs in Sam, as has Dean, who continues to question Sam in this episode about how he's "feeling". Sam doesn't see it of course (or doesn't want to) and vehemently denies that anything's wrong. Will Dean being attacked by the coven push Sam over the edge? We'll have to wait and see. Heehee! I like Evil!Sammy! He's scary, but oh, so cool.
Oh, and since we're in the possible final 4 episodes of the season I gotta ask for a brotherly hug again. We need a hug!!!! Neeeed one noooooowwww!!!!! Heehee! :D Oh, and one more thing....I want Dean to wear that red shirt....please! *guh*
Okay, I'm good now. :D

| This episode has quite the gross-out factor. We've already seen the blood and the maggots. The sides also mention a rotted chicken in an oven. Lovely. Boys in suits again. Yay! Detectives Bachman & Turner. *gigglesnort* Sam gets thrown into a wall this time. He also gets held in mid air, unable to speak. Astaroth is the demon the witches pray to. Who we find out later is actually Tammi. It looks like the scene where Dean coughs up the blood (that we saw in the video clip) is about 30 min. into the episode. The sides only mention the very end of the scene as Sam leaves and has Dean saying a lot more than just calling after him. Sam also says he's going to kill the coven to break the spell. The sides make frequent mentions that Sam is no longer himself here. He's changed. "In his own way demonic." Oooooooh.... Ruby ends up saving Dean (he's described as "hacking his life out" at this point). She gives him a foul tasting liquid to break the spell. Ruby wasn't lying in the one video clip when she told Sam this demon is more than he can handle. When Sam fires the Colt at the demon, she stops the bullet in mid-air!!! Sam says he'll never fight for the demons or lead them. According to the demon, there's a new leader on the horizon. There's a big fight between the demon & Ruby. Apparently both of them escaped from the Devil's Gate in Wyoming. We learn that Ruby was once a human and a witch. Sam ends up killing the demon. |
