"So little done, so much to do."
Jul. 6th, 2007 06:47 amTime for another little status report before the weekend. Btw, the quote in the subject line is by Cecil Rhodes and seems very appropriate to my life right now.
* I won't be around online for the first part of the weekend. Got shopping and errands to run this afternoon and then on Saturday my mom & I are going into Seattle with my aunt & uncle for dinner at my cousin & her husband's house. I don't get to see my cousin very often, so this is a special treat. We grew up together like sisters. I'll be back Sunday to spread more LJ fun and mayhem. :)
* Ended up ordering the two books needed for my online class from Amazon.com yesterday. This is the first time I've known the college's bookstore to not get the books in on time. They should arrive by Monday. Which is good, because I'm already 2 weeks behind in reading assignments and there's only about 5 weeks of the quarter left.
* Haven't done the capping I'm supposed to do yet, but I'm planning on doing some Sunday. I finally got all the video downloads of every SPN episode. Whoohoo! Now I can really go to town and not only make my S2 caps (until the DVDs come out), but make some music vids, too. *so excited* I've been working on 2 of them already, but needed some footage from some S1 episodes. Now I've got'em. Heehee!
* Good news on the reply front. I'm slowly, but surely getting through them all. So expect to see some replies to your older comments. I'm also planning on posting some of my icons for people to use. I've got a bunch uploaded to Photobucket and ready to go. I'll see if I can make the first post on Sunday or Monday.
* Got some good video footage of the fireworks being fired off in the neighborhood on the 4th. There's two groups on the street behind us that really put on a good show. They must spend a fortune on those things. These folks get some of those big fireworks, similar to the professional ones. Illegal? Yes. Pretty? Absolutely! I'll see if I can grab some stills from the footage and post them sometime next week.
* On the bad end, I was coming home from the college yesterday when I heard some squealing noise. I was just entering the neighborhood when it happened. At first I thought it was someone doing something in their garage. There were people outside and some garage doors were open because the weather was warm. Plus, I had my windows open. It did it several times, though, and did it again as I pulled into the driveway. So I'm thinking it was from the car. *wimper* No! Not the car!!!! I don't want anything to be wrong with the car!!!! It seemed to be running fine. No warning lights, nothing. Perhaps it's the poltergeist that was in my computer a few days ago? *Sigh* Maybe I was hearing things? *cringes* I don't think so. I hate it when something happens to the car. It just really stresses me out. Haven't mentioned it to my mom yet either. Just been stressing silently. We'll see how it acts this afternoon when we go out. I pray it's okay, cause it's a great car and we need it. Send positive vibes, please. I could use them. I need my wheels! *tries not to stress out, breathe, breathe*
