As you can see, I've been making some changes. I've uploaded a new Christmas-themed header and changed my background image to a nice green variation of my red one. I didn't bother to change the red color of the text because...1) it's a major pain to change all those color codes and 2) the red goes perfectly with the new green background, giving my page holiday colors!

I actually ended up making 10 Christmas light inspired Jensen headers. I'll be posting them shortly. Sorry there's nothing for you Jared fans out there, but I used images I already had available and fixed in a Gimp file to make the headers. They were all of Dean or Jensen, so that's what I had to work with. Didn't have time to fix any Jared ones and quite frankly, most of my images of Jared are older ones. So I'm sticking with Jensen for right now. Rest assured the red background will return come January. This header might change between now and Christmas, depending on my mood. ;)

Anyway, enjoy the new, pretty, Christmas-y look. :D

I felt it was time to get in the spirit of the season and make some new headers. Using images of Jensen I'd already used for some headers I made for [livejournal.com profile] trystan830 several months ago, I managed to turn out 10 new headers.

Sadly, I don't have anything for you Jared!Girls. My images of Jared are mostly older ones, or wouldn't work well for headers. Plus, I just didn't have the time to start a new set from scratch. I spent enough time just finding the images of lights that I wanted.

Feel free to take as many as you like, just be sure to give me a credit, please. I've presented them here in clickable thumbnails for easier viewing by my fellow dialup users. :D

* No hotlinking, please.
* Credit me, [livejournal.com profile] raloria, please when taking/using.
* Comments are much appreciated!

***If there are any of these that you'd like with different text or using a different font, I'll be happy to make a different version to meet your requests. I can also make some of these with images of Dean instead, upon request.***

This is going to be a mini-rant/status report/ramble post...you have been warned. :P

Is it any wonder that it's Sunday yet again? Bah! Where did my weekend go?

I think a cap of the boys is in order. How about one from Red Sky At Morning?

I need a spell for stopping time... )

I love Christmas/Holiday music. Since we're now a month away from the big day, I thought I'd try something fun and new.

I'm going to try to post one or two seasonal/holiday songs a day. These will come from either my own CD collection or my online findings. I'll try my best to make a post each day and we'll see how many I can get done by Christmas day. These songs will run the gamut: from traditional to modern takes on old classics. There will be country, pop, jazz, oldies, big band, new age, comedy....anything and everything. And don't think that if you don't celebrate Christmas that there won't be anything for you. Not all of the offerings will be specific to Christmas. Some will be just about winter. They will all be favorites of mine and I'll give you some info. and why it's my fave with each song. Happy Listening!

Note: I'm using SendSpace for all of these downloads. Since I'm on dialup, it was just a logical choice to choose one host. If you have any trouble getting a song and would like me to use MegaUpload instead, just let me know and I'll try to get it up for you there.

I will also have each of these posts available to all for one week and then will Friends lock them.

Day 1 --

I thought we'd start out kind of easy into the tunes on the first day. These aren't really Christmas songs, but more winter themed songs. Both of these songs are from CDs and I've listed the names of the albums below.

Sally's Song (From The Nightmare Before Christmas).mp3 -- by Michael Chertock from "Christmas At The Movies"

This is a nice, simple piano piece of the beautiful song from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Not exactly what one would consider a Holiday type of song, but it does work. It's pretty and magical and even a little haunting.

Winter Weather.mp3 -- by Benny Goodman & his Orch. from "Christmas On The Bandstand"

This is one of my favorite big band holiday songs. Nice and bouncy!

*** I'd love a comment if you're downloading any of the songs, thanks! ***
