A music vidder....ready to pounce!

I iz very sleepy, but I had to post about my latest new computer developments.

For Vista being all bright and shiny and cool, it's amazing how difficult some things are now. And please don't tell me how sucky Vista is compared to Windows XP. I know, I've read, but I like it (as much, if not more than XP) and I'm determined to make it work. Sure, I can't record anything online and for a while I thought I wasn't going to be able to using Windows Movie Maker anymore either. Did some major online digging about the problem (it wouldn't let me import any .avi files) and found out others have had the same trouble. Problem is...there's multiple solutions, some of which might work and others which won't. *sigh* Okay, so I started with the small, easy solutions. No go. Moved up to the moderate solutions, one of which included installing a whole boatload of codecs. That solved the problem. Then there was a new problem...WMM kept crashing every time I split a clip. Gaaaaaah!!!! More online digging. Try this, try that...blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, there's all my lovely episodes from S1 & S2 just waiting for me to work with them and I'm dying to make some vids! I've been putting this off for months! Anyway, WMM crashes yet again and I take a good look at the problem file name...aha! I disable that codec and gingerly proceed....success! Hallelujah! 'Course by this time I was too sleepy to properly work on anything, but no matter. I started putting together a rough edit and saved a test. So happy it worked!

So I'm back in music vid-making business!!! Yaaaaaay!!!! I've got a bunch of ideas and now I can finally work on them. Awesome! I'll tell you more about them later. Meanwhile...*does sluggish happy dance* :D

Okay, that's all I wanted to share. I'm off to get some much needed sleep my beloved flist. Two days to the big day, gang! Whoohoo! I'd be more energetic, but I sleepy. Zzzzzz..... Catch ya later folks. *hugs* :D
