Music Vidding....Take Two

Making progess on the SPN MasterCard Vid. It's pretty fun putting this together.

All the clips are in place and now it's coming down to the hardest parts....the final cut and the music. Right now, the rough cut clocks in at 1 min. 11 sec. I might cut it a little more. I also might need to edit in an extra bit for the ammo line. We'll see how it goes.

As for the music, I tried listening to various classic rock songs from the show and a few others I've accumulated. But I came to the conclusion that I need something that's just instrumental, so none of those would work (except "Stranglehold" since it's got a long instrumental section). So I went to tried and true music resource that I found in college: FreePlayMusic. Problem there? Too many choices. LOL! I can't win! But I have narrowed it down to 8 tracks. I keep playing them against the video footage and they could all work. Trust me, I'm trying to keep to the musical sound of the show. I selected tracks that have a classic rock or southern rock sound.

I think the question I'm having with the music is about tone. Do I keep it more lighthearted and fun or a little more serious and somber considering the scene of Dean hugging Sam is in there? Then there's the question of speed? Faster music really doesn't work. So the ones I've chosen are more medium to medium-slow.

Meanwhile, I'm getting another headache. Ah, well....my Dad always told me "You have to suffer for your art." :D

Edit: (3:11 a.m.) I just added in the text and I gotta admit, it nearly looks like the real deal! I've looked at a lot of the past MasterCard ads on YouTube and I'm kind of using the MacGyver one as my guide. I also found that some SPN fans have already beaten me to the punch and made some SPN MasterCard ads. But I still think mine's better. Ha! :D

Just 'Cause - Requests Filled Week

Remember when I asked for your requests back in the end of March? Well there were a lot of requests that I didn't choose, since I could only pick one a day. This week and the next, I'll be filling those requests at last. I've written everyone's requests down and any that I haven't yet fulfilled will be taken care of.

Today's cap was requested by blackbirdj2, who wanted to see Dean in his hospital bed from "Faith".

Jensen Ch. 10 "Guy Thing" TV Ad - Video & Caps

After much waiting, we finally have the new Aussie Channel 10 ad featuring Jensen! The quality is not the greatest, but it's better than nothing.

He's so adorable in this! Love his face when he holds out the flowers! Cuteness factor times 10! :D

Bah. Got to bed late, got up late. I've fallen back into my old bad habits again. *sigh*

I hope to finish the SPN MasterCard ad vid today. I just need to tweak the text a little more and maybe do a little more cutting/adding, but that's about it. I've pretty much settled on a music choice and I gotta say it fits the piece well. I even uploaded my test version somewhere...*shifty eyes*...but that was just to see how it would look uploaded and maybe, possibly to show to a few people to get their opinion on it. ;)

Once I finish that vid, I might go on and try to finish that other one for AHBL. I really should be starting to cap S2 for my SPN Revealed posts, too. And then there's my back-log of comments I'm still trying to get to. Man! So much to do and only so many hours in the day! Can I have an extended day? Please?

I'll be posting my next S1 caps set shortly. It's "Skin" this time (oooh...lots of caps from that eppy). :D

Meanwhile, not to complain or anything (okay, maybe a little), but what's up with the lack of comments for my Just 'Cause posts lately? Friday's post got 3, Saturday's got 4, and so far today's has only gotten 2. Meh.

Okay, lots to do today and not enough time to get to it all. This is where working at 2 computers just gets insane. Heh. :)

RapidShare....grrrrrrrrrrr!

I hate RapidShare!!! There I've said it.

I hate only being able to download one rar or zip file and then have to wait 90 minutes before I can download another one. I want my music!!!! What total crap! It sucks! And everyone who posts old vinyl recordings seems to use this site as a file host! *fumes* >:[
