Laid back Monday
Oct. 20th, 2008 04:05 pmAfter a busy weekend of filming, I'm enjoying a much deserved day off. We don't resume filming until next Saturday, so I've got a whole five days to relax, sleep, and do other things besides working on a film. Yay!
Yesterday was a long day (12 hours on set). It started around 10 a.m. but we didn't actually start filming until around 1 or 2 in the afternoon due to trips out to pick up light kits, props, and such. *sigh* So after our late start we set out to shoot our 6 scenes and got through them all. We killed another major character, complete with blood splattering the walls and ceiling! Near the end we were all tired and a bit punchy. Everything was funny and we laughed a lot. Didn't get home until after midnight, exhausted and very emotional. I was actually in tears all the way home because I'd messed up a bit during the shoot. I missed a continuity error involving a glass & possibly messed up our character death scene because I took a photo during the shot. No, I didn't take a flash photo, I know better than to do that, but my camera puts out a red flashing light to check for focus and it might have appeared during the take. We could only do it one time, so I'm worried about the shot. It was a stupid mistake and I feel awful about it. I'm going to be sending an email to the director today, explaining and apologizing for my mistakes yesterday. It wasn't one of my better days, even though people think I'm doing a great job. :(
So I came home, cried a bit (and I'm sure some of that was because I was dead tired as well), watched "12 Angry Men" on the TV (one of my favorite films), and went to bed early and slept in late. But I'm still groggy/sleepy. Bet I'm going to do a lot of napping today. It's a stormy/windy/rainy day too. Perfect weather for curling up in comfy old sweatshirt and taking it easy. I need to get today's Just 'Cause cap posted for today and then I'll be catching up with my flist. *hugs*
