I'm extremely sleepy *yawns* and my brain has ceased to function properly. *blinks* Need sleep. More later once I can form full thoughts. Zzzzz.....

Hell Week: Day One

The Puget Sound area is in the first day of what I'm calling Hell Week. Seattle and most of Puget Sound is under a Heat Advisory until Thursday night, with temps in the mid to upper 90s for practically the entire week. UGH.

You know something's wrong in the world when we're hotter than the Grand Canyon in Arizona where the temp is 85.

We're not used to this kind of heat around here, especially not for a possibly record-breaking 5 days. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday there's a strong chance we could get over 100 degrees. We also have air stagnation that's causing poor air quality and an extreme fire danger. What fun.

It's currently 94 degrees. I'm sitting in my darkened room with a fan blowing on me and the shades on my window closed. At least it keeps it tolerable. Of course, looking at my computer screen in the dark is not helping my head much. I feel a headache coming on. Oh joy.

One Month Until VanCon!!!!!!!

I can't believe it's so close already. :)

Technically, tomorrow (the 28th) is a month from VanCon, however, mom & I will be leaving on the 27th, so at this time next month, I will be in Vancouver!!! *bounces* :D


Can you tell I'm a little excited? Hee! :P

Vancouver BC's Celebration of Light Fireworks: Pre-S. Africa Natural Light Show

Last Saturday (July 25th) was quite a night in Vancouver, BC. Not only was it the 2nd night of the Celebration Of Light fireworks competition, but Mother Nature decided to put on a bit of a display herself. There was a radiant orange sunset followed quickly by a huge show of lightning across the sky!

I captured most of it through various Vancouver Webcams & I found some YouTube videos of it as well. Enjoy! :D

Vancouver BC's Celebration of Light Fireworks: South Africa Show

Like I did last year, I'm saving webcam images (from Kat Kam & Numinous Numeriques) and posting YouTube videos of the 4 day competition. :D

This is from the second night, July 25th, as South Africa took the stage of English Bay with their theme of "Tapestry Of Color".
