Capping Notes: SPN 1x01 "Pilot"

Capped the Pilot ep of SPN overnight from the BluRay file. Thought I'd share a few notes and comparisons.

Time spent capping the episode: 3 hours (approx)
Original Cap Count: 1,300
Final Cap Count (after sorting & deleting): 1,076

Original DVD 1x01 Cap Count: 1,107

Was all set to simply post a regular Impala Sunday type cap when I came across this one with another Dean lip bite! Perfect! :D
Whoo! What a day. Feels good to have gotten 7 episodes downloaded. I never know how long the links will stay active, so I've gotta get these files while I can. So far, so good. The weather is finally turning around to more normal levels. Guess we needed spring to give up and let summer take over. *g* I'm starting to feel more organized and in control of things, something I haven't felt in a while. I hope it lasts. Have a nice Sunday everyone. *hugs*

Birthday Icon!

As per my earlier poll on this subject, I'm going to try to make an icon for everyone for their birthday.

You'll note that I've put your usernames on them. This is to ensure that these icons are strictly for your use only and unique icons just for you. I tried to make them as light as possible as to not detract from the pretty. ;)

Is it Monday yet? Now?

The SPN 1x01 BluRay caps are all uploaded and ready to post after midnight PST (my time). I can't tell you how excited I am to be starting this whole process. I haven't been this giddy about posting my caps in a long time.

Despite my worries about the 1x01 file not being BluRay, the caps turned out better than I expected (for the most part), so maybe it was the real deal after all? Downloading more eps (working on Seasons 4 & 5 today) hasn't gone as smoothly as yesterday, but progress is progress. Got "The End" today and it's just as stunning as I expected.

The plan, is to cap and post an episode each weekend. Cap on Saturday, sort/fix/upload on Sunday, and post to LJ on Monday.

I'll also be deleting the old caps from the DVDs and other downloads (w/the logo) as I go along. They won't be needed anymore once the BluRay ones are up, so I'll go so far as to delete the zipped folder downloads and the LJ posts that featured them. For now, the Just 'Cause posts will still feature the older caps, until I start getting enough of the BluRay ones integrated in. ;)

In other news, I'm getting closer and closer to kicking off the 3rd Name That Cap Challenge.
A few more caps to add in, some more to prep, then I'll be uploading and ready to go!
