And now for something completely different...

I don't normally post food reviews, but sometimes one has to make an exception.

Mom & I spotted these at our local grocery store a few weeks ago and thought we'd give them a try. We bought a box of the Banana Nut and the Chocolate Almond. I like soft-baked cookies, so they certainly attracted me.



We've each tried both flavors and we've decided they're very poor-tasting. I described it to my mom as being like "sawdust mixed with cardboard". They're more dry than moist, being very crumbly. They have to be some of the worst cookies I've ever tasted. If I was starving on a desert island I think I'd rather die than eat these. Mom (who hates to throw out any food, even stuff that isn't that good) has told me these need to be tossed into the garbage.

If you see these in the store my advice is to stay away! Bleh. :(

Got a late start on Thursday, but I still got some things done. Work on the Locations List is progressing, though not as fast as I would like. Getting nervous that we're less than 2 months away from VanCon, I guess. At least while I was working, I could catching up on some TV viewing. Finally got to see the last several episodes of Hawaii Five-O. Another great cliffhanger! The Vampire Diaries is next. :)

VanCon 2012: Hotel room booked!

Mom & I just called and reserved our hotel room at the Best Western Downtown in Vancouver. Hopefully we'll get our usual room. We've had the same one for the past 3 years. *g*

We'll be staying 6 days, like last year. Arriving on Thursday, the 23rd and checking out on Wednesday, the 29th. I wanted for us to have enough days after the con to go location hunting. ;)

Feels good to get this last important piece of business done and out of the way. We're nearly done with the shopping, too. Funny how I was determined not to do a bunch of shopping this time and we've ended up doing it anyway. lol I've got 7 new tops and a new hoodie along with a new pair of shoes. Don't have much to break them in, but I'm wearing out my current pair taking all my walks around the neighborhood.

Phew! I can breathe easier now, knowing we've got a room for our stay. :)
