Check out this gorgeous work done in Photoshop by gonzosgirrl on Twitter of one of my Jensen 2012 VanCon photos. Stunning. :)

VanCon is right around the corner and I've still got photos from last year to share! So this week is going to be all about my various "extra" photos that I haven't posted. Hope you enjoy them. :)
Sorry for the delay...RL chaos & all that. Today's post contains a few photos of a fan's Impala at the convention & then various photos of the city.

VanCon 2012: Photo-Ops
Jun. 25th, 2013 01:10 pmStill trying to finish posting my VanCon 2012 photos and memories...before this year's event in August. :P
Like with my autograph post, this one is F-Locked so the images don't wind up on search engines as they have in the past.
( 10 pics of the VanCon guests...and someone who looks scarily like me. Warning! Image Heavy. )

VanCon 2012: Autographs
Jun. 10th, 2013 05:01 pmYep, I'm still catching up on things that are LONG overdue. I want to finish up with all the VanCon 2012 stuff before this year's con. :P
Keep in mind my memories are a bit fuzzy after all these months, but I'll try my best.
I normally don't F-Lock these posts, but more and more of my stuff winds up on Google, and I'd really rather keep these more private like my photo-op pics.

Sorry it's taken so long to post this last set of photos. RL got crazy (still is). Next I'll be preparing to post some miscellaneous photos (the convention hotel, a fan's Impala, Saint Andrews, etc.) and then my Filming Location pics.
Over a month after the convention and I'm finally ready to start posting my photos. :P
Hey, these things take time. Hopefully you'll think of these photos as a fine wine, worthy of the time it takes to perfect.
NOTE: If you're looking for my thoughts about the panels, you'll sadly be disappointed. I've learned that you either pay close attention to the guests (sometimes taking notes or Tweeting) or you take photos. You can't do both. It's impossible. At least I can't. So my memories of the panels is foggy at best. I'll have to watch videos shot by others to refresh my own memory. :P
Richard simply can't get enough of these conventions and of course we fans feel the same. So it was all too fitting to give him another panel to wrap up the weekend's festivities. He was once again out in the audience so it was difficult to get photos of him. Then Jensen came out on the stage! He had finished signing autographs and was waiting for Jared to finish with his. What a great surprise! After a bit Jared joined him and it was great fun to see the 3 guys on the stage, having a grand old time. Then the boys left and Richard ended the panel by relaying the long but fascinating story of how he got the part on Band Of Brothers and ended up tracking down the soldier's family (which was done before the internet/email). It was a touching and quiet way to wrap up the convention and Richard summed it all up perfectly with his final statement: "I'd rather be here with you people today, then with the best people in the world!" Thx hells_half_acre for the quote!

Onto the big day - Sunday! I've always said my main reason for continuing to get a Gold Ticket is so I can attend the Sunday Breakfast with the boys. I simply can't give it up. It's a special time where you get to see them first and spend time with them in a more intimate setting. I had a great seat and the only reason I have for there not being more photos (or more photos that are in focus) is that I was nervously excited. Shaky hands! Hey, it happens. Usually I can calm myself during the panels, but the Sunday Breakfast is more difficult. There's definitely some winners here though. ;)

This was a great panel. Misha and Jim were a delight (as one would expect). Jim was looking very trim and Misha was looking rather sexy with a beard. Having a couple of talented fans deface two SPN posters with Jensen & Jared & then auctioning them for charity was a definite bonus. I wish I could remember more of the panel and what questions were asked, but it's all a blur. Surprisingly, I don't have a lot of photos from this panel, but I think that's mostly because they were both moving around a lot on the stage.

These two are so much fun, but a bit of a pain if you're a photographer. They like to go out in the audience and interact with people, which personally I think is great...if you don't want to take pictures of them. Of course, getting Richard to stay still is impossible anyway, but somehow I got more pics of him than I did of Matt. Boo. I didn't intend it that way, believe me. Matt's awesome but he wasn't up by the stage very often and tended to stay in the back of the room. Goodness knows I tried to get more photos of him. Again, next year I'll do better.

Joint panels are great fun IMO. You get a cool dynamic when two guests (or more) are up on the stage and in almost every case they bounce off each other really well. That was certainly the case with these two. Enjoyed them answering the question of what kind of hell they'd have for each other and their characters. There was a lot of talk about Sheppard's various rolls, but I didn't notice until afterward, that nobody brought up Pellegrino being on Lost. Shame, considering that's the only other thing I've seen him in besides playing Lucifer on SPN. Mark Sheppard didn't want to stay on stage, which meant, unfortunately, that I didn't get many photos of him, and what I did get is more often than not out of focus. *sigh* I'll just have to do better next year.

After a bit of a rough start getting photos during the first panel of the day with Russ, I think I did a better job with Julie. I hadn't seen Julie since she attended the first VanCon back in 2009, but that time she was in a panel with Alona Tal and Traci Dinwiddie. It was nice to see her on her own and naturally some time was spent talking about the love scene with Jensen in "Heaven And Hell". *g*

I realize Russ isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I don't have a big problem with him, mainly because I've been around his kind on independent film productions. My first student film experience battle hardened me real fast. As usual, getting any real info. about locations or the production from Russ can be a crap shoot, but I enjoyed his panel all the same.
