I still need to fix and prep my main photos taken with my big Canon camera, but here are some pics taken with my new point & shoot camera: the Canon Powershot S110. My plan had been to post these each night during the con to give everyone a taste of what was going on, but the schedule was so packed that I didn't have any time. So you're getting them now. It's all good, right?

Please keep in mind that the photos from my other camera will be better than these. Thx. ;)

One of the added benefits of being in Vancouver is that you get to hang out with so many of the crew members and a bunch of them were on hand Saturday. The big surprise was meeting one of the writers: Robbie Thompson! I'm sad I didn't get a chance to chat with Kevin Parks this time, but then there's always next year. *g* Russ Hamilton never disappoints in his panel, and it was neat for him to bring up his daughter to read the warning on his much protected notebook of locations. The other trio panel of the weekend of the 2 Marks and James was fun...but it did seem that most of the questions were aimed at Mark Sheppard and his many rolls over the years. Not that that's a bad thing, but it would've been nice to hear from the other guys too.

Over a month after the convention and I'm finally ready to start posting my photos. :P
Hey, these things take time. Hopefully you'll think of these photos as a fine wine, worthy of the time it takes to perfect.

NOTE: If you're looking for my thoughts about the panels, you'll sadly be disappointed. I've learned that you either pay close attention to the guests (sometimes taking notes or Tweeting) or you take photos. You can't do both. It's impossible. At least I can't. So my memories of the panels is foggy at best. I'll have to watch videos shot by others to refresh my own memory. :P

I realize Russ isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I don't have a big problem with him, mainly because I've been around his kind on independent film productions. My first student film experience battle hardened me real fast. As usual, getting any real info. about locations or the production from Russ can be a crap shoot, but I enjoyed his panel all the same.

This is the first half of the guests for Saturday, which was packed full of photo-ops and panels. An exhausting day, but a fun one. :)

We started off with Location Manager, Russ Hamilton and went right into the panel for Julie McNiven. That was quickly followed by the two Marks...Mark Sheppard and Mark Pellegrino. LOVED their panel! Sadly I don't have as many good pics of Mark S. as I would like. He liked to be down on the floor, moving about so it was hard to catch him still, even when he often stopped right in front of me. At least Pellegrino was content to stay on the stage in his chair. :P
