Our last hands cap for the week gives us a lovely look as Sam's hands with John's journal. Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and ideas for future themes. :D
Hope everyone's enjoying the VanCon photos. Not getting many comments on them, but...one lives in hope.
Have a nice Sunday folks. *hugs*

Over a month after the convention and I'm finally ready to start posting my photos. :P
Hey, these things take time. Hopefully you'll think of these photos as a fine wine, worthy of the time it takes to perfect.

NOTE: If you're looking for my thoughts about the panels, you'll sadly be disappointed. I've learned that you either pay close attention to the guests (sometimes taking notes or Tweeting) or you take photos. You can't do both. It's impossible. At least I can't. So my memories of the panels is foggy at best. I'll have to watch videos shot by others to refresh my own memory. :P

This was a great panel. Misha and Jim were a delight (as one would expect). Jim was looking very trim and Misha was looking rather sexy with a beard. Having a couple of talented fans deface two SPN posters with Jensen & Jared & then auctioning them for charity was a definite bonus. I wish I could remember more of the panel and what questions were asked, but it's all a blur. Surprisingly, I don't have a lot of photos from this panel, but I think that's mostly because they were both moving around a lot on the stage.

Meant to inform you all of the new goings-on around here last weekend, but it just wasn't in the cards.

Mom began her Hyperbaric Chamber treatments on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd. She's had 9 of them thus far, so she's almost halfway though her initial 20. At first she had some trouble pressurizing her ears, but they sent her to an ear/nose/throat doctor nearby and he put tiny tubes in her ears. It's improved the pressurization, but her ears are still partially plugged up, which means her hearing is even worse than it normally is. We both hope her hearing returns to normal once all this is over. Even normal was bad, but this is worse!

Every Monday through Friday we have a standing appointment at noon. Mom goes into the chamber and I go out into the hospital's atrium and sit, listen to my mp3 player, play my old Gameboy, or read. She usually finishes around 2 p.m. On Mondays she also sees the Wound Healing Center doctor so he can see how it's doing. Last Monday it had shown some progress, with a smaller depth than it's had before. Good sign that maybe the chamber is working and her breast wound is closing up! *fingers crossed*

It's a drag to have to go to these every day and we're both feeling the strain of it all. Doesn't help that we often do errands or shopping after the treatments so we're really worn out by the time we get home. But hey, we're nearly halfway done. What's another 2 weeks? Right? Ugh.

It was pouring down rain when I went out this afternoon for my walk, but I don't care. Had my jacket and my trusty umbrella - I was good to go. So my lower legs got all wet. Big deal. :P

I actually enjoyed being out in the rain. It's been so long since we had any that I was really missing it. Aaaahhhh. It was wonderful. I bet people in the neighborhood thought I was nuts! LOL Dropped one pound on the scale this morning so that's good news. It's going to be tougher to keep the weight off now, not only because of the lack of exercise but also because we're into the cold weather season and I tend to pig out a little more then. You know how it is...it's cold and nasty outside and you're all cozy inside, days are shorter and nights are longer, and you just naturally grab some comfort food. I'll have to watch myself on that. I love nuts and that tends to be a common late night snack for me. Trying to watch my portions is the tricky part. ;)

Keep in mind this is the short list. ;)

  • Making a list of your Weekly Themes suggestions and comparing it to themes I've already got started.
  • Will start posting my Sunday VanCon photos starting tomorrow (Monday). That means boys, boys, boys, folks!
  • Working on a SPN fic that I started way back in the end of 2010. About time I finished it, huh?
  • Going to cap 8x02 tonight after supper and try to reply to some comments when I take breaks.
  • Need to cap new SPN title for S8 so I can make animations.
  • Want to start grabbing caps from next episode for my SPN Revealed series so I can get back to posting those.
  • Fix a few photos from Puyallup Fair last month so I can post them and the videos I took.

That's about it...for now. lol There's always more things to do on the horizon.
