Hmmm...fandom? Where are you?

It's been a couple of hours since SPN ended and I'm a little surprised by the reaction to the episode. Last week there were hundreds of comments over at supernatural_tv....this time? There's only 110.

I've also noticed a lack of "after episode reviews" on my flist. The overall feeling I'm getting from people is a "meh...it was sort of a boring/lackluster episode". Seems like a lot of people had really high expectations that weren't met.

So the question is: Due to a two month hiatus and our eagerness for new episodes, are we putting too much expectations on these final episodes of a shortened season?

I'll say this briefly...I liked it. I liked the 3 big scenes between the boys, the tension between them, the flipping of beliefs with Dean's life on the line (Dean willing to try anything and Sam being cautious), I liked that the brothers went off to fight their separate battles yet came together at the end. I'll save the rest of my thoughts for my First Impressions post. ;)

Anyway, I just wondered where everyone was/is? Seems like the response is kinda quiet, considering we're down to the last few episodes. What happened to the squee people?

I'm off to cap the eppy now...oh, those lovely CU shots...and the suits! *flails* :)
