Cool Fireworks!

raloriaPhew! It's 11:20 at night here and I just came in from spending the past hour and a half outside videotaping the neighborhood fireworks. The group one street to the north of us really outdid themselves this year. Big barrages of fireworks at a time. Woot! Awesome stuff! :D
I haven't had a chance to check my tapes yet (I shot 1 & 1/2 tapes), but hopefully I got some good stuff. I also ran out of battery power, so I'll get that charged up now, so I can check out the footage on the big TV later. :)
Things are quieting down a bit outside, but there's still fireworks going off. In years past I've heard them as late as 3 a.m.! I couldn't help but think as I stood out there: People complain about shelling out a lot of money because of high gas prices, yet they willingly buy hundreds of dollars in fireworks that they shoot off for one day. Crazy. :P
I'll try and get a video up of the fireworks sometime Sunday.
And now....time to post some goodies. Heh heh. :D
