raloriaI've been thinking about doing a meme like this for a while now and with the mood I'm currently in, it seems like a good time to give it a try. I'm sure nobody else will want to do this meme, but I thought it might be nice to try something different.
Most memes want you to state your favorite this or that. How about one that doesn't. More specifically, what about listing some songs that aren't your favorites....songs that you just can't stand to listen to.
There can be lots of reasons for not liking a song...you don't like the artist, the tempo, the words, or (as usually is the case with me) it's just been played one too many times and you're sick of it.
10 Songs/Artists You Can't Stand To Listen To --
The rules are simple:
Make a list of 10 songs and/or artists and state why you can't stand listening to them.
Please don't be too hateful with your reasons. Remember, your least favorite song or artist might be somebody's favorite.
Feel free to tag 10 others with this meme, if you like. ;)
Here are mine, in no particular order:
1 - "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal -- I'm just thoroughly sick of it. Yuck!
2 - "Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brothers -- A song that is just too long, too overblown, and played far too much.
3 - "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith -- Another one that's gotten waaaaaay too much airplay. Ugh.
4 - "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton or Whitney Houston -- Goes on and on for far too long.
5 - "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias -- I used to like this song...until radio drove it into the ground with too much airplay.
6 - "I Swear" by All-For-One -- I don't even like the song that much, or the way the group sings it, but they still play this song all the time on the radio. Yuck!
7 - Macy Gray -- Sorry, but I just can't stand her rough-sounding voice.
8 - Garth Brooks -- IMO, this man ruined the greatness that was once country music. Still can't stand his stuff.
9 - "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by Iron Butterfly -- Yes, I know....it's a SPN favorite and probably sacrilege to list it here, but it's also 17 min. long! That's waaaay too long for any song. I was lucky enough to find a shortened version and that I will happily listen to.
10 - "Muskrat Love" by Tony & Tenille -- I grew up listening to this song and my disgust for it has only grown over the years.
11 - "I'm Amazed By You" by Lonestar -- Bleh. One of the most overplayed songs ever.
Yep, I've got an extra one. My meme, so I'm allowed to bend the rules a bit. :P
