I iz sleepy.....
Sep. 11th, 2008 11:18 pmBut happy. :)
Yep, after all my nervousness & freaking out...my first day's experience of on this film went very well. As usual, I was expecting one thing and reality turned out to be something very different. I saw "big independent film production" and it's really very similar to what I've worked on in the past. Being shot on video, not film, but I heard the plan is to transfer it to film. Cool! The set was so relaxed, so mellow, the work just breezed by. The shots got done, I did my job as Script Supervisor, everyone had a good time with lots of laughter, and the whole day/evening was very enjoyable. I've never been on a more relaxed film set. Instead of coming home tonight dragging my feet in exhaustion, I'm simply sleepy because I only got around 3 to 4 hours of sleep last night.
I feel that I impressed the director. I kept catching things, not only the actors saying the wrong words, but lighting issues and the actor's eye lines. At one point he asked me, "You seem to really know what you're doing. Are you sure you've only worked on student films?" Hee! *blushes* So, yeah, I'm feeling pretty good right now. We have tomorrow off and then there's more filming on Saturday and Sunday. Now that I've gotten an impression of the production I feel so much better. My confidence is back and I'm looking forward to the next shoot. Now the only thing I need to worry about is finding my way around Seattle to get to the locations, and those darned parking issues.
Meanwhile, I see there's new goodies online about our SPN boys! :D I'm off to check those out next. Did they show a new promo for the premiere tonight during the last rerun? Does anyone know? OMG one week away!!!!!!!!!!
Big thanks to all of you who wished me well for my first day. You guys are sweet and wonderful. *hugs* :D
