With today being big SPN Thursday at long last, I thought I'd revisit the pivotal moment that brought us to this point. This was the breaking point for Dean. This was the moment which would leave him so distraught that he would willingly sell his soul if only Sam was allowed to live once more. Dean can and has handled many hardships in life, but he couldn't live without his brother. In this gut-wrenching scene we see Dean...alone, desperate, clinging to hope, yet finding none. A soul....shattered.
